I realised my other one shot was shit after reading it again & I'm super duper sorry.
Epilogue Continued:
*nathans pov*
Ori pushed me away, confusion and angst sprawled across her face.
"What the fuck Sykes?" She demanded from me.
"I.... what do you mean?? i... i like you."
"What. The. Fuck. You go around acting like you're too good for the world and for this school and for me. I dont like you, at all, Sykes. Sorry if youre disappointed, but I'm sure there are hundreds of girls in this school ALONE who would beg to be yours, so thanks for the offer, but no thanks. please. Please... Leave me alone."
She walked away from me as tear drops brimmed my eyes. I grabbed her hand, practically begging her to hold on and give me a chance, but she dragged her hand away, and left before I had a chance to mutter a word.
She practically disappeared from my life, she skipped all of her next classes. I would know because I waited at the door after every class, desperate for a chance that she refused to give, and I asked her roommate where she had been, but she didn't know either. Jesus, Nathan. You fucked up your only chance with the girl youre absolutely head over heels for because you're too stubborn and ignorant to show her you feel, but instead you decided to act like a first class pain in the arse. Jesus Christ.
I spent my last period running around campus, hoping to find her, but she wasnt anywhere. Taking a deep breath, i ran my hand through my hair and pushed the front door of the school. I hit my fist against the brick walls, but barely felt any pain as I started to collapse.
"Nathan?" A voice rang in my ear, " are you okay?" I turned my head to see Ori with her eyebrowns furrowed in worry. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"Ye-yeah im fine." I lied.
"Ohmygod, are you bleeding? Wait here okay? Im going to go get a bandaid from my dorm." She ran inside the dorm houses, and quickly came back with a first-aid box.
She sat on the curb and motioned for me to sit next to her.
I sat down, but made sure that I was not too close, with my bleeding hands cupped in each other. She slowly took one hand and rubbed alcohol on it. I flinched and she immediately said "I'm sorry." But she continued to clean my wounds and wrapped it in a bandage as we sat there in silence. She did the same thing to the other one, and let my hand go.
In an effort to amend things, we both said "I'm sorry" at the same time. She laughed, and so did I.
"Let's start over?" She asked.
I nodded my head, grateful for the opportunity to start anew.
Standing up, I straightened out my blazer, and stuck my hand out, "I'm Nathan." Smiling, she did the same, "I'm Ori."
"Wait... Can you hold this while I go for a walk?" I stuck my hand out, and her beautiful laughter filled my stomach with butterflies, and my heart with glee. She grabbed my bandaged hand, and we went on a walk that would change things forever.
