Dakota's POV

I followed behind Tyler, slowly.

Brice was glaring at me out the corner of his eyes, and everyone else looked at me with wide eyes full of concern.

"Are you ok?"

"Should we bring you home?"

"Do you need some medicine?"

I smiled weakly.

"I'm....fine."

They nodded.

"If you say so."

They said.

Casey looked at her watch.

"Oh, I have to go! You guys have to stick with me, we got tutoring and groceries!!"

She shouted, looking at the rest of the group.

"Wellllllp, see ya!"

Casey said, as she and the rest waved, walking away with her.

That left me with Tyler.

I looked over at him shyly, and he stared back at me.

"So.... What should we do now?"

Tyler asks me.

Sunset.

I wanted to see the sunset.

"I-I... want to see the sunset..."

I looked down at my feet.

He'd probably think I'm crazy.

He touched my shoulder lightly.

"Sure!"

He smiled gently.

My heart skipped a beat, and my eyes widened.

He grabbed my wrist and walked over to a bridge.

We stopped at the middle of the bridge, looking at the sunset.

I stared at it, the pink and purple clouds floating in the orange sky as the sun started to sink down on the horizon.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Tyler staring at me.

My eyes widened.

"Your eyes... Are pretty in the sunset..."

My breath hitched as I looked up at him.

He reached out to me and stroked my temple.

I grabbed his hand with my free one.

"...That's gay."

I said softly.

"And is it only pretty in the sunset?"

I asked him, looking up at him from under my eyelashes.

He shook his head.

"They're always pretty."

My eyes widened again and I blushed a light pink.

He took his hand away, and I lowered mine.

I realized his other hand was still holding onto my wrist.

"If you're gonna grab my wrist, you'd better do it properly."

I looked away and pouted.

I slid my hand down so that he was grabbing my hand instead of my wrist, and I laced my fingers through his.

His eyes widened as he blushed.

My heart was beating fast.

We stood there for minutes, holding hands, our fingers interwound.

The sun was starting to sink on the horizon.

"I have to go home now."

I slipped my hand out of his, and he stared at me.

I walked away, but then stopped.

"....y-you can call me Kota if I call you Ty."

I heard him laugh.

"Say that sooner, Kota!!"

"S-shut up."

I walked away, gripping my warm hand that was just clutching Ty's.
