Tyler POV

Brice dragged Dakota out of the place....

One, where did he come from?

Two, why did he do that?!

I shrugged, and made my way to buy another drink for Kota and one for myself...then getting soda and what not for the night.

Taking off my jacket I wrap it around my waist brushing sweat of my face.

"Man it's hot out today.."

Then I hear someone calling my name.

"TY!!!!"

My eyes widen..that sounded like Dakota.

I run to the desperate sounding voice.

Shocked I see Brice choking Kota.

My eyes widening, I rush over to them.

"Cut it out Brice!"

He stopped but his hand remained wrapped around Kota.

Kota was trembling, and gasping for air..scared.

"Let.go .of him. NOW!"

I shout.

Brice outs his head down and looks up at me through his furrowed eyebrows.

"Don't you see what this kid is doing to you? He is using you."

"FREAKING STEP AWAY FROM HIM BRICE!"

He shakes his head, his grip tightening around Kota's throat.

Without hesitating I punch him square in the jaw, sending him flying across the alleyway.

Dakota starts sliding to the ground, I pick him up and lightly place him over my shoulder.

He was breathing hard, and his eyes were looking at me.

I smile softly, a little painful..i was sorta responsible for not going after him..

"It's ok Kota..You're safe now."

Turing I look at Brice, I say.

"Even if that's true..that's a problem I would handle with him. I didn't want to do that but you left me no choice...Brice don't ever do that again..b-b-but I don't think I can be your friend..anymore..."

"Really Ty?! Ever since HE or SHE came you changed..I have been your friend since 2nd freaking grade!! You barely know him.."

I turn around and with Kota held lightly in my arms (bridal style >XD), I walk away.

Looking down at his wide green eyes I whisper.

"It's ok Kota..I won't let anyone hurt you any longer...I am really sorry about Brice..I didn't know.."

I try to retrain tears, but a couple escape.

Kota hesitantly wipes them quickly away, and pulls his hand back, blushing slightly and he looked down.

"Hey! Let's skip hang out with you know who for the night (>XD) We'll just go to my house and you can sleep over at my house tonight!! You can't say no."

He looks up at me jumping out of my arms, and he starts to tumble on the floor.

"I can't spend the night at your house!"

"You can barely walk...and I don't...want you out of my sights..so you ARE coming with me."

I sling him softly over my shoulder and run, laughing, to my house.
