Chapter Two: April O'Neil and the Swords Smith

April O'Neil sat up in her frilled bed and sighed emotionlessly. She had another dream, about him. She honestly didn't think that she had foreign feelings for her friend, but her dreams told her otherwise.

She slowly swung her legs off of the bed, her bare feet against the floor, and pushed herself into a standing position. April smoothened out her thin, small night dress and stretched her arms, giving audibly loud popping sounds as she did so.

She then walked toward a fancy, oaken chest of drawers in the corner of her room and hastily pulled open the top middle drawer. She pulled out a journal and place it on the top, then she found it: an ancient pirate medallion.

It was forged out of pure gold, and had many complicate lines and patterns around a large skull in the centre. She pulled it out in delight and brought the ends of the strings around her neck to tie there. It took a couple of failed tries to tie the knot correctly, for she 'could not see the back of her neck', April would tell any onlookers or servants.

The girl stared at herself in the mirror, taking note of her long, red hair and how the medallion stood out when she wore it; it was if the jewellery was made for her.

A loud knock at the door jumped April from her thoughts and she recoiled slightly.

"April?" A voice, muffled, called out from the other side. "April, dear, are you busy?"

"Yes!" April yelled in reply, panicked, and ran to her bed to reach a cream-coloured dressing gown, pulling it on and pushing the gold circle down her cleavage to hide it. "Yes."

The door opened, revealing a tall, richly dressed man wearing a large wig that had many cylinders of grey hair attached to each other, reaching his waist. He wore very rich clothing, which included:

A blue trenchcoat with yellow buttons and clasps, a neat white shirt tucked into black, knee-length leggings equipped with knee-length socks and bucked shoes.

"I have something for you!" He chirped and handed April a large, flat box that she and two servants had to carry without it being dropped.

April opened up the lid and gasped in awe at seeing a large, London-styled dress with a hat, the type were you use silk around your head to old it on.

"Oh father, it's beautiful!" She whispered and the said man ushered her and the two servants behind a large paper door, so she could change.

While his daughter was changing, the man decided to look around her bedroom. It had a large, frilled bed next to the oaken door, large paper doors in the corner, a chandelier in the centre and a chest of drawers next to the balcony doors, which the man decide to lively throw open and expose a beautiful view of the port. April had creamy coloured wallpaper and an oaken floor.

"April, is it okay? I heard it is the latest fashion in Boston." He asked when he heard April yelp breathlessly.

"Well." April gasped. "Women in Boston must have learned not to breathe!" And gasped again, clutching her breast as the corset was tightened again.

Daniel Hamato stood in the landing of the O'Neil household. The room was beautifully made out of marble and Quartz. He had placed a long box on the marble table and was looking around in awe, even though he had been there many times.
