Ron sat on his bed later that night, thinking of the old days when Harry and him shared a room, talking smack about the Malfoys and dreading the return to schoolwork and leaving the beautiful summer weather behind. Now he was alone, Harry having his own room same as Hermione, and he wished for some company.
He let his feet dangle off the bed, his head propped on some mysterious lump that was under his blankets that he was too afraid to investigate, and looked at his ceiling which was plastered with posters of the Holyhead Harpies, as well as a band he loved called The Three, which was much better than the Weird Sisters in his opinion. His mind drifted off to the Weird Sisters poster that Ginny had strung up as well in her room, and he wondered if Harry was in there with her right now-
And then he was running down one flight of stairs to come to a screeching halt at her door, where he knocked loudly on the door, his fist rapping the space beneath the blue words Ginerva Weasley. The door was open in a second, and Ginny had her wand to Ron's throat in another. "Precisely what do you think you are doing waking me up? I just went to bed!"
"Is Harry in there with you?" Ron asks suspiciously, glaring through his eyelids at his little sister. If Harry was in there with her doing Merlin knows what...
"Bloody hell, Ron, no. Why would he be in here? I just told you I was asleep you git." She lowers her wand and rubs her eyes. "Why are you knocking on my door to ask about Harry at one in the morning? Go to sleep." She makes to shut the door but Ron stops it with his foot.
"Do you know where I can find him?" He asks her, still persistent.
Ginny bites her lip, thinking about Harry and Hermione outside. Ron was going to ruin all of that if he went out there. It was still quite odd that even though she was dating Harry, she wanted things to work for him and Hermione. She had already decided that, as soon as his feelings for her were clear, they were going to break up and she was going to help him get a date with Hermione. She decides to play dumb. "I don't know where he is. Did you try checking your butt?" And then she shuts the door in his face.

"Okay, for my team I want Hermione and Ginny, and Ron, your team can be you, George and Percy." Harry says, tossing the golf ball in the air and catching it as he talks. Each one of them heald a broom firm in their grasp, and Harry had his Firebolt clamped in his hand. He was standing close to Ginny, but he didn't seem too invested in her. Occasionally his eyes flickered over to look at Hermione, who was standing in between George and Ron.
"Not fair! There should be one girl on each team. I want Ginny." Ron says, and Hermione 's face flushes like it always did when they chose Ginny over her for this sport. But little did they know, she had been outside practicing on the nights she couldn't sleep, and she had gotten quite good at Quidditch.
"I already called Ginny. Take Hermione then." Harry says, and shoots Hermione an apologetic look, one to which she replies to with a frosty glare. He looks down for a moment, angry at himself for hurting his best friends feelings, and then mumbles under his breath. "Actually, I want Hermione."
The teams split up, Hermione still irritated that they were talking about her like she was rubbish at the sport. She swung on leg over the broom, and Harry got up onto his as well, guarding the hoops they had set up in the yard, ready to play Keeper. "Right, Hermione, George, you two play Chaser. Hermione, try not to fall off your broom."
Hermione nods, and when they say go, she shoots into the air, a firm grip on her handle and the wind whipping her hair. George is already shooting towards the other goal, but Ginny and Percy are close on his tail, and he isn't going to make it in time.
