*Still Chloe's POV*

I slipped on my silky pale-green dress and silver-strapped high heals. I had never snuck out before, I always told Mum where I was going or said I couldn't go. Not this time.

I had carefully washed every single knife and fork before showering, shaving my legs, curling my hair and doing my make-up. I grabbed my hand-purse, which had some money and my iPhone in it, climbing out of my window and down the rope ladder. I threw the ladder back into the window and closed it, with great difficulty. I had left a note on my door so when Mum went to get me she would see it. It said 'I am not feeling well Mother, so I shall not be eating tea. Please excuse me'. For extra measure I put some pillows under the blanket so it looked like I was actually there. My plan was perfect.

The limo pulled up right in time and I jumped into the back where Sophie, Toby, Aimee, Luke and Daisy were all sitting. The other's had come in different limos.

"Hey, how'd you convince your Mum?" Sophie said, giving me an awkward hug.

"I didn't." I said simply. Her eyes widened, so did Toby's.

"You didn't get in trouble after we left?" He said, his face crumpled in confusion. Gosh he looked cute.

"Oh yes, I cleaned every piece of cutlery we own by hand. They are all polished perfectly now. Then I got ready, left a convincing note and pillow-filled bed and left. And besides, if Mum sees through it, who cares?" I said, surprising myself with my confidence. Sophie and Toby looked impressed.

"So, I take it this is your birthday party?" I said, watching as there faces glowed.

"Yeah. It's a combined party for Toby and I, Aimee, and Daisy and Luke. Since our birthdays are so close." Sophie said.

"Cool. Have you got a date?" I asked Sophie. Obviously Toby and I were going together and Aimee and Luke were.

"Yeah. Some guy from a posh school. Apparently he's a jerk." Sophie sighed. I felt a pang of sympathy for her. Here I am with the guy of my dreams and she's still waiting for hers.

"Dais?" I turned to the soon-to-be 14 year-old. Her long brown hair was in it's natural loose curls.

"I'm going with Kye. He's a guy from my dance class." She muttered, blushing.

"She likes him." Aimee said, smirking.

"Do not!" Daisy protested, hitting Aimee. I just giggled. Gotta love young love.

We had a fairly laid-back party to start, just presents and stacks of randoms saying happy birthday to Toby. Then we went to the bar. Toby and Sophie insisted we sneak out and get some drinks. I was hesitant, but went anyway. We had a blast. The music was pumping, people were laughing, we were having a great time. Then I decided I should head home. Toby and I got a taxi, as Sophie was nowhere to be seen. We were smashed though, we didn't really mind. Now, me being smashed and all, I went in through the front door to find Mum washing the dishes. She did a double take, and as soon as she saw my gorgeous dress and messy hair her face turned near purple.

"CHLOE ELLA! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!" She screamed, her face full of dis-belief.

"I just went to a little party. Ya know, some beers some boyfriend some fun." I slurred, giggling.

"Are you.... ARE YOU DRUNK!"

"Noooo! Maybe... Just a little bit." I giggled again.

Then she slapped me. She full on slapped me. In a way I snapped out of it. I stopped giggling and tears formed in my eyes. I was still dizzy and everything was a blur but I dare not giggle again.

"You are worthless. I don't know why I didn't put you up for adoption the moment you played up." She said, her words cutting my heart.

"What's going on here?"

I looked up to see my father, the one who loved me, standing in the doorway. His face was full of hurt and confusion.

"This slut of a daughter has been out partying. Drinking. The lot." Mum said, glaring at me.

"HELEN! No matter how bad she's been you never speak to our daughter like that. Is that a slap-mark?! Chloe, come on. Lets get you to bed." He said, helping me up and sending a deadly look to Mum.

He tucked me up in my bed and kissed my forehead, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get to sleep, I couldn't stop the tears. All that filled my ears was the screaming and yelling and smashing of things downstairs. That was when I knew it. I would be the reason my parents split.
