*Kate's POV*

I quietly sobbed into Becca's lap, until I heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it", Becca offered.

"Thanks", I replied.

Becca left me on the floor and walked out of the room and down the stairs. I heard the door squeak opened, and two quiet voices. One was Becca, the other one though, I couldn't make out.

"Uh, Kate? You have company!", Becca shouted from downstairs. I quickly got up and wiped my face with a makeup wipe. I walked hesitantly down the stairs, and reached the floor.

"Ky-Kate..."I hear the voice clearly now..It was Damian.

He looked at me through the doorway, having identical expressions, shocked.

"I'll just leave you two..." Becca awkwardly stated walking backwards.

We just stood there for a while..staring, not moving, just staring. I was trying my hardest to look away, but I just couldn't.

"Kyle...." He started putting his hand out.

"No." I just said out of the ordinary.

"But I didn't even ask anything of you?" he sounded confused.

"I know what you are going to say anyway." I blinked.

"Really? What?" He raised a eyebrow, and protested.

"You were going to say that you wanted me to come back and be Catgirl and everything would be fluffy cotton candy clouds and fat rainbow unicorns again!"

"How did you know?!", Damian teased.

"Because I'm a woman, and women know everything! Besides, I'm never going back to that life. Catgirl has done too much wrong!", I say backing up.

'But it doesn't need to be this way Kate! You can reinvent Catgirl. You can show people that she is a hero, not a villain!", Damian tried to persuade me.

"No, I've made my decision! You just need to go! Please just leave! I'm not coming back!", I say grabbing the door handle.

"Please Kate just listen!", He pleads.

"Damian stop, I've made my decision! You need to go. You need to let me go!", I say pulling the door half way closed.

"Kate!", He yells. I ignore him. I tried to shut the door, but Damian stopped me.

"Just listen!", He raises his voice.

"No Damian, Go!", I say trying to push the door shut.

Damian's POV

I fought with Kate for what seemed like hours. I tried to tell her to listen and reconsider her decision, but she was trying so hard to push me out, to push me away. I had finally had enough. Something inside me clicked, just like the time we first met.

I pushed the door opened with all of my strength, and gripped Kate's jaw. I pulled her lips to mine, kissing her deeply. She wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer to her. I loved Kate, and I wasn't letting her go that easily. Not after everything we've been through, everything we've done together.

Our lips parted and I wrapped my arms around her, engulfing her in a tight hug. She began to speak.

"You got me Dames. I was wrong to push you away like that... I was just caught up in the moment. I'm sorry.", she whispered softly.

"I should be the one apologizing. I was being so pushy. I should have respected your decision. I'm sorry.", I apologized still holding her close.

She let go of me and stood back.

"If it wasn't for you being so stubborn, I would be moping in my room right now, feeling sorry for myself.", she smiled.

"So...", I began.

"So I've reconsidered, I'm going to be a hero again! But this time, i'm going to be someone better."

"Who?"

"Shadow."
