Rossie went and was wrangling everyone into the conference room while Hotch and Angel finished up the last of the paperwork.
"Your father is a very stubborn man I take it?" Hotch asked carefully taking in her reaction.
A sad smile greeted him and she sighed.
"I knew the day I signed up and took the entrance test to the academy that I'd never be able to go home. He disowned me the day I told him I had gotten accepted."
Hotch could see that the conversation was sad to her but then she smiled.
"I don't regret it a bit, if I had stayed I'd be a trophy wife or something instead of who I am now. Being a Debutante was never really my thing growing up."

"Everyone! This is our newest team member Agent Angel Todd," Hotch called as they both entered the conference room.
Rossie smirked at everyone's shocked expressions, he knew it was because she looked so young.
"I'm Garcia!! Welcome to the team!!"
Rossie smiled as Garcia went in for a hug drawing laughter out of Morgan who stood up shaking her hand.
"I'm Derrick Morgan, welcome."
"I'm Jennifer, but everyone calls me JJ. No offense but you look really young to be an Agent."
Angel smiled, a blush tinting her face.
"Actually, I'm 20..."
As if on cue everyone glanced at Reid who didn't look up but by the way his neck was flushing he knew they were looking at him.
"Angel has an IQ of 175 and is currently working on her second Doctorate in..."Hotch trailed off trying to recall what exactly it was she was studying now.
"Linguistics and Philosophy " Angel softly mentioned her face going even redder.
"So you're a genius like Reid?" Emily asked softly from where she was sitting.
Angel if possible blushed even more and shrugged.
"I highly doubt I can compete in any way to Dr. Reid, my dissertations are nothing compared to his."
At that statement Reid looked up in surprise and glanced at her. She had read his dissertations?!
"Alright, let's go over the case!"
As Garcia started talking about it Angel slipped into the empty chair next to Reid who gave her a shy smile. JJ and Emily exchanged a glance and Morgan wriggled his eyebrows before focusing on Garcia.
As Garcia went over the case details Reid felt his eyes go to Angel who was obviously paying vivid attention to the case. He couldn't help but smile at how cute she was, the shyness to her that seemed to make everyone want to protect her including him for that matter.
Her hair was pulled into a side braid that seamlessly reached her waist, she was utterly tiny though maybe only five foot at the tallest. She wasn't even wearing heels but a pair of black simple slip on nice work shoes. He just couldn't get over how tiny and petite she was. Yet, he found himself taking her in, she was very beautiful.
Shaking his head he focused on the case, a slight blush tinting his face as Garcia smirked at him.

"Alright my dolls, we've got a big one this week. We've been called in by the New York Police department to help them solve a case of serial murders where the unsub has been well..." She gestured to the screen and everyone just kind of stared in horror for a moment before going over ideas.
"How many victims?" Rossie asked quickly.
"So far they've been able to connect about five victims so far with the same M.O. in the last five weeks; at about a victim a week; but, as to what connected the victims to this particular unsub they have been stumped." Garcia responded flawlessly.
Angel was staring not at the graphic images themselves but at the girls in the pictures.
"They all look very much a like, same body type, hair and I'm guessing they all have the same or complementary eye color?" She finally voiced as another moment of quiet filled the room.
Garcia nodded. "Right you are my sweet, all of the girls are about five foot even, body type is that petite build and all of them have some sort of either natural or dyed red hair, though different styles; all of them have blue or green eyes. Three of the girls have blue and two have green."
Everyone turned to Hotch who stood up. "Wheels up in thirty!"
Angel stood up as everyone else did, she had been briefed by Hotch that they had a plane they took to cases that were a bit of a distance away. Standing up she clutched her case file to her chest and turned around to come face to face with Emily and JJ who were waiting on her.
"I'm surprised you didn't balk at the pictures, most people do when they see such over-kill for the first time." Emily mentioned softly as they walked out with her.
Angel shrugged and spoke up softly. "My professors at the Academy had me review cold case files with them and some of them took me on Consults on occasion. It's honestly not my first time seeing pictures that bad."
JJ smiled and caught her by her elbow, she came to a stop with Emily standing next to JJ.
"You're going to do great here, just take your time and be yourself. Everything else will fall into place as time goes on. We've all been the new kid on the team one time or another and fact is, you're going to fit in great. So, welcome aboard." JJ told her softly, giving her a quick hug.
"Oh! Do you have a Go Bag here already?!" Emily asked realizing that they had been taking up time Angel might have needed to go grab a bag of necessities.
Angel smiled laughing slightly. "Hotch warned me in advance to have one with me all the time if I could; it's under my desk, I just have to grab it and I'll be ready!"
