2: New Agent

***Three Years Later***

Reid glanced up at the closed blinds of Hotch's office. It was driving everyone crazy that they couldn't see who was in there with him, it had been hours since the interview had started.

"I think that's the longest interview that's ever been conducted with someone who isn't an unsub." Emily muttered from the set of desk across the way with Morgan nodding in agreement.

"Seriously, I don't think any of our interviews combined even come close to this man!" Morgan voiced glancing over at Rossie who shrugged.

"I know nothing except this one has an excellent case record from the Academy and already has a doctorate in Criminal psychology. Like I said I know nothing!" Rossie told them with a smirk heading to Hotch's office and entering after a single knock.

Hotch glanced up from the applicant in front of him and motioned to Rossie who shook her hand. She was so tiny, so petite it was hard to believe she had graduated top of her class at the Academy with very good marksmanship and so on. She was just so young, so breakable in appearance. 

"Rossie this is Agent Angel Todd, our newest team member." Hotch mentioned with a slight smile. 

Rossie chuckled as she smiled her quiet voice quickly asking, "I take it the welcoming committee is starting to get suspicious?"

Hotch chuckled as Rossie burst out laughing at her question.

"Oh lands yes! I think they're starting to wonder if someone died or something!"

Angel smiled and shrugged. "Paperwork takes up more time then it humanely should."

Hotch smirked slightly and spoke up.

"Angel you'll get a chance to shock them in a minute, I just need your emergency family contacts and the paperwork is finished."

At the mention of family contacts her smile vanished leaving a tense silence in the room.

"Hotch, my family disowned me three years ago, I don't exactly have anyone for that kind of thing anymore."

She trailed off and Rossie gently squeezed her shoulder.

"Hotch, put JJ, Garcia and myself on it. I don't mind and I know those two won't mind either."

Angel stared at him the appreciation in her eyes making Rossie smile.

Before she could say anything Hotch spoke up as well, his tone very gentle.

"I'll go ahead and add myself as well. Its no trouble."

She stared at both of them open-mouthed and quickly spoke up. 

"Thank you both so much! I honestly don't know what to say!" 

Rossie and Hotch exchanged a look. "Your team tends to become like a family, all of us tend to stick up for each other and I know you just started but I have a feeling after your first case no one will hesitate to throw you into our little team family." Rossie quietly told her.
