"Teresa." I said when I walked up to her. She jumped because she didn't notice me, "Tom!" Nobody has ever called me Tom. Not even my parents."Sorry to scare you!" "Oh it's ok" she says laughing. "Why did you go?" "I wasnt very hungry. That's all." I know she was lying. I barely knew her and I could tell she was a bad liar.
"Are you coming to my house today?"
"What?" She asked looking confused.
"For Chuck?" I asked raising my eyebrows.
"Oh! Yes." She sighed. I put my hand on her shoulder, "If you need to talk about anything, I'll be there. We are friends now. Right?" She looked me straight in the eyes, "Yes. Yes we are." She said smiling. She waved good bye and left to go to her class.
"SCORE!" I screamed to myself.
When I got home I asked mom when Teresa's coming. "She'll be here in about 10 minutes." I looked at my mom suspiciously, "How do you know that?" My mom looked at me and smiled, "I texted her!"
When my mom left the room I grabbed her phone and found Teresa's number and put it in my phone.
KNOCK KNOCK
I practically ran to the door. "Hey Teresa." I tried to play it cool. "Hey Tom." She smiled at me and walked in. "Chuck is going to be a little late. He's with his friends." She nodded, "oh ok. Wanna sit and chat?" I almost jumped in excitement. "Ya ya sure." We sat at the table.
"So tell me about yourself." I said.
She told me how her dad died in a car accident. Where she used to live. What she enjoys doing and eating. Until, someone called her.
"Uh hello?" She answered. I saw her nod a couple times and saw tears forming in her eyes. She hung up, "I have to go something happened with my mom. She got mugged." I stood up and hugged her. It was warm and I loved it. She walked out of the house and I sat back down frowning.
~Teresa's POV~
I raced to see my mom. She was lying in her bed strapped to machines struggling for her life. I sat there for 10 minutes until she spoke, "T-Teresa?" I ran to her side and held her hand. "Sweetie. I'm not going to make it." She said calmly. I started to break down into tears. "Mom. Do it for me please." "I'm sor-" BEEEEEEEEEP
"Mom!" I whispered.
"Mom!" I screamed and started sobbing. Nurses and doctors rushed in and told me to leave. "SHES MY MOM!" I screamed. "You have to leave now. I'm sorry."
