*Mia/Mae POV*

darkness. that's all i see, darkness. i can hear a beeping to my left and i can feel a breathing mask on my face, but i can't find the strength to open my eyes. all of a sudden i feel a hand hold mine. "hey Mae, or Mia, or whatever, please wake up, it's been 3 days and none of the boys have slept or eaten, we are really worried about you." he finishes sobbing, omg that's Liam! i try to open my eyes but i can't, omg why can't i open my eyes?! ok, can i move at all? i try to squeeze Liams hand i succeeded. i hear him gasp. "OMG! Mae, can you hear me?! if you can hear me squeeze my hand!" i squeeze again and finally find the strength to open my eyes. "hey" i manage to choke out with my croaky voice. "OMG MAE!" Liam yells and hugs me "LADS! LADS! MAE'S AWAKE!" Liam yells to the rest of the boys and they come in straight away and strangle me, not literally but seriously i can't breath with how tight they're hugging me. "guys... i... need... air!" i mange to croak. they all mutter a sorry and pull away "we weren't sure if you'd make it" Niall starts sobbing. i immediately pull him into a hug. "i'm so sorry, it's all my fault, i'm so sor-" Niall starts apologizing like crazy "Niall... this is NOT your fault, it's mine, you didn't know that i would jump, none of you did, and plus i should've payed attention to where everyone was, instead, you were nearly shot, i can't have that happen again..." i whisper the last part to myself but they all heard it "what do you mean again?" harry says "i ran into that gang before, they stole highly illegal drugs and me and my best friend had to arrest them. we were both only 10 but we were the best on the force, they killed Aaron and shot me, we arrested them, but they killed my only friend." by the end i was sobbing and they were all hugging me whispering relaxing things to me. "sorry" Niall says for one last time. "i already told you it's not your fault" "i know but i still feel terrible" "ok, stop feeling sorry before i go ninja on yo ass" i say joking around and the lads chuckle. "ok, when can i get out of here?" "after they check you to make sure your ok." "YES! BRING THEM IN!" i state like a king and the lads bring in a nurse. after she checks a few things the lads sign me out and we are on our way back home. "ok, just curious, how have you died 4 TIMES?!" Zayn says astonished and i laugh. "ok, once i was choked to death, i drowned in a car after someone drove it of a cliff into the ocean trying to kill me, shot in the lung, and blood loss from being stabbed" i say and all of them are looking at me with wide eyes, i can also see Paul in the front with wide eyes and mouth slightly agape. "guys close your mouth or you'll catch flies" i laugh. "how are you laughing that's terrible, especially the car one" Niall exclaims "yeah the car one felt the worst to, he already had his seat belt off and window open when my seat belt was on and window was closed. i had to cut of the seat belt with my pocket knife and climbed through his window. but... I'M ALIVE!" i shout at the end and we all laugh. we arrive home and we go inside where we all flop on the couch. "wanna watch a movie?" harry asks and Liam jumps up "TOY STORY!" he yells and puts it in. i was half way through the movie when i got a phone call on my watch. i answer and boss's voice comes through. "hello agent k, i heard your out of the hospital." "yes i am" "that's good, can you come to HQ, we will complete your retirement then." "sure, can i bring 5 friends?" "sure" "thanks, see you soon" i hang up and turn to the boys "wanna come?" i ask and they all scream yes and run out the front. i laugh and follow them. "follow me" i say and we all walk down to the abandoned part of town and walk into and ally. "you sure we are in the right place?" Harry asks a bit worried and i reply for the millionth time "yes". i stop in front of a metal trashcan and look around i lift the lid where there's a hidden keypad underneath and type in the code '4972' the bin moves and a tube appears underneath. "hop in" i say and they all shake their heads no. "fine i'll wait for you in there then" i say and jump into the tube. wind rushes past me and after 10 seconds of free falling i lang into a ball pit (that was my idea) . 2 minutes later i heard yelling from 5 different voices coming down the tube. they all laughed at the bottom and followed me into boss's office. "hello agent K" "hello" i reply and sit down opposite him in a chair while the lads stood behind me. "so, we will keep in contact with you in-case we need you for a big mission. do you have any requests before you leave?" i smirked and answered "fire Josh, my partner" "ok, here is your reward thank you for working with us, remember to keep this secret." "thank you, i will see you again soon." i say and take my medallion and leave his office. immediately i'm squished in a big group hug that everyone in the force is in. "we'll miss you!" "Good luck!" "stay safe!" was yelled at me while i left for my new life with the Lads. everything is going perfect... or so i thought.
