I recently received a comment on a chapter of Blind Love that suggested I check out another Wattpad account. I've been getting a few of these suggestions lately, but this was different. I would try to explain the account myself, but official-visible did an amazing job of putting it into words,
"A campaign started to get more mental and physical disabilities/ illnesses into literature- both the visible and the invisible!
Dedicated to supporting diverse writers, giving readers a direct line to the books that have disabled characters and also providing a community of people where you can be completely open safe when talking about the conditions that society often ignores and shuns."
Guys. This is so amazing.
Coming from someone who has an invisible illness, I know how hard it can be. Invisible illnesses are also difficult in a social way. The number of times I've been treated unkindly because someone didn't believe my illness was real is seriously sad. It breaks my heart that other people have also had to experience this.
Go show official-visible some love for the amazing amazing work their doing. <3
