You've got to be kidding me, you thought angerly. The path that took you forever to cross wasn't even that long. You could see the cave from the edge of snowdin. You growled and stormed over to the cave.
When you entered the cave something to your left caught your eye."Wow...," you mumbled to yourself. Waterfalls rushed down into a large lake. You stared at the lake taking in all of the beauty. The cave sparkled with a bright blue color which reminded you of the night sky on the surface.
You just stood their watching the water splash into the pound over an over again wondering where all the water came from. You took a big breath in, tasting the cool air and went on your way, past the waterfalls.
"Sans?," you said out loud when you saw the short skeleton at the sentry station. Some of the monsters looked your way with confused looks because of your sudden out burst but then went on to whatever they where doing before. You went to go ask Sans how he got here, when a weird slug monster pulled on you (F/C) sweater.
"Have you ever heard of an Echo Flower before?," the monster asked. You shook your head. Their tentacle like arm pointed to a big blue flower that glowed a light blue like
the rest of the cave.
"This is an Echo Flower! It repeats the last thing it hears," he said with a smile. The slug like monster seemed really proud of it for some reason. You gave a small smile and walked over to the flower.
"This is an Echo Flower! It repeats the last thing it hears," the flower repeated. You chuckled. The underground is pretty cool... Why do the monsters want to leave so bad, you thought to yourself. Then you remembered all the thing you had, like sunrises and the moon! Stars, mountains, and many other great things.
You sighed feeling guilty that you valued your own life over everything the monsters wanted. You waved good bye to the slug monster and walked over to Sans.
"So why are you here? I thought you worked in the forest," you asked him. Sans laughed. "what you've never heard of a guy with 2 jobs before?," he asked. You where about to respond when you where body slammed.
"I'm soooo sorry! I j-just heard that Undyne was here and I really wanted to see her!," said the small orange dinosaur monster. Quickly the little guy dashed away screaming," sorry! Please don't tell my parents I'm here!"
You and Sans stared at the small monster as he fled to somewhere else in the cave. "Soooo... Do you want to go to Grillby's for lunch?," Sans asked. You stared at him blankly. "Sure?," you said awkwardly.
Sans jumped over his station and walked to the direct where the monster kid had run off. You stared at Sans confusingly since that was the wrong way. He smiled. "come on, i know a short cut," he said reassuringly.
You then followed him to his 'short cut'.
~Short Cut Skip~
"fast short cut, huh?," he told you. Your stared at him in awe. You weren't sure how you got here so fast but you where here now. Sans lead you over to the bar and took a seat. You took the seat next to him.
*insert another fart sound here*
"Sans...," you mumbled angerly and stared at him. Sans died of laughter while you sat their waiting for the woopie cushion to stop making a fart sound. Everyone stared at you for a second and then laughed. Sighing you joined in.
A fire monster in a suit and tie walked over to you too, he wore.... Glasses... You stared in complete confusion. How did the glasses stay on him and not burn. In fact how did none of his clothes burn to ashes. Sans chuckled at your surprise.
"they've never see a fire monster before... they're younge," Sans said to Grillby. You realized that this must be normal in the monster community and you just looked like an idiot. Grillby shrugged and stared at Sans.
"When are you going to pay for last years tab Sans?," he asked. You looked over at Sans and gave him a questioning look. "Or should I say all the tabs from last year up to this point," he growled although it didn't seem mean, more like playful.
"oooh ya see i may have lost my wallet on the way here, i'll have to pay up some other time," Sans said pulling on his shirt collar. Grillby gave off a caring sigh and pulled out a notepad which made you really want to know how it wasn't burning.
You turned to Sans not sure what to order since there was no menu. He smiled. "fries or a burger?," he asked. You told Grillby the one you preferred while sans started to chug down a bottle of ketchup. "i'll have what (y/n) is having," Sans said quickly and then went back to his ketchup. You started at him in disgust.
Grillby finally stopped writing and then walked back to the kitchen. You hadn't realized how hungry you where until you had to wait for your food. You impatiently sat in your seat waiting for Grillby to come back out.
"calm down kid, he's a pretty fast cook," Sans said. You groaned. "But food...," you mumbled sadly. The smiling skeleton some how smiled even more at your pain. You signed loadly.
"Hey (y/n), i've got to ask you something," Sans asked. You looked at him trying to forget you where so hungry. Sans looked around him, seeing if anyone was listening and then turned back to you.
Taking a deep breath in Sans asked, " have you ever heard of a talking flower before." You stared at him in shock.
Sans knew Flowey!?
