One week. I have one week to find a job before uni starts. Because, well I need a freaking job. It's a must right now. "Hey man, what're you thinking so hard about?" I'm brought out of my thoughts by Jackson's question. "Wait, he's thinking? Run for it before it blows!" That idiot would be Luke. "Oh hardy har har, you're so funny I forgot to laugh, so tell me when to do so" "Now would be good, thanks!" "Smartass" I hear myself mutter while glaring at him. "Anyways, you didn't answer my question" "Oh right, just thinking about getting a job." "Why'd you want to do that?" I roll my eyes before answering, even though a question that stupid doesn't really deserve an answer. "Well Lucas, because I still haven't seen money growing on a tree just waiting for me to take it." Pretty sure the people in Japan felt my sarcasm, but hey I got my point across by the way Luke is looking at me right about now (get it Luke looking hehe...okay I'll stop...). Jackson chuckles at our never ending banter before getting up of the bean bag in my more than messy dorm room. I've only been here a week and I can't even see the floor. Meh that's partially Luke's fault as well since you know, roommates. And before anyone gets it all wrong and actually thinks I want to be his roommate I will clear it up by saying four simple words: university picks the roommates. "Yo dude, you hear me?" "Hmm oh what?" Jackson rolls his eyes when he sees me giving him my oh so innocent smile. "I said we should go to that new cafe that's like a five minute walk from here" "Oh yeah sure. Wait, where's Lucas?" Jackson gives me a disbelieving look. "Dude I don't know in what world you live in, but he CLEARLY said he'd be waiting outside." "Psss I knew that" "Right" He said over his shoulder with what is that *dramatic gasp* Sarcasm! Anyways we were walking outside and before I could get to far I felt something wet hit my pants. Before I looked at my pants I saw Luke resembling a hyena on the floor because he was doing what I am assuming is supposed to be laughing...so his usual look and Jackson looking highly amused. Oh he better not have done what I think he did! When I looked down there was water right on my crotch making it look as if I had peed myself. "Oh you're dead!" Before I could do anything Luke had already taken off running and I was hot on his tail. I wasn't too worried about Jackson losing us since we were leaving what I like to call a breadcrumb trail as we went. By breadcrumb trail I mean dazed people, turned over trash cans, and a whole lot of mess. I chased Luke all the way to the cafe where he burst in and stopped abruptly, but at last that didn't stop me and I came in with as much speed as he had and tackled him to the floor. "Eeeek" Did he just screech like a wannabe Barbie when she breaks a nail? While Luke and I are fighting we hear the cafe's door open and someone standing behind us and then someone come to stand in front of us. A clearing of throat later and we're looking looking up to a dark skinned kinda short glasses wearing girl with crazy curly hair. "Hello, may I help you or are you just gonna keep cleaning my floors?" Curly says with a cute and highly amused dimpled smile in our direction. "Sorry about thing one and two, but they're done cleaning floors now, right boys?" The man standing behind us that I now noticed is Jackson says with a pointed look in mine and Luke's direction. During all this Luke was laying on the floor struggling with me sitting on his back and his gigantic head in a head lock. This really is completely normal for two twenty year old college men. "Right!" Luke and I say in unison before jumping of the floor and landing in a superhero pose. The cute waitress chuckles before motioning us to follow her to a table next to a book case with a stupid amount of books. Once we've sat down we look up to her...again. "Okay then, welcome to Bookworm cafe! What can I get you boys?" She gives us that cute dimpled smile before looking down at her notepad and writing our orders once we tell her our well orders...yeah. "Black coffee, please" "Hot chocolates good with me" "And an espresso for me" "Great, I'll be back with your orders in a minute." "Thanks!" We say in unison before she takes off to make our orders. When she leaves; Jackson and Luke start talking about the classes they'll be taking once uni starts in a week and I started looking around a bit before Jackson cut off my thoughts... again. "Hey dude, isn't that a help wanted sign?"
