The crowd went wild as I finished my song and left the field. "You did great!" my replacement manager, Jay complimented. "Thanks.." I smiled, handing my microphone to one of the assistants. "You seem happy.." I nodded as I walked through the hallway to the locker room. "Only good sex makes someone smile like that.." he smirked. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me I know its true!" I finally gave in. "Alright maybe we have been trying a few things." " You go girl!" Jay was a great manager. He was openly gay, which was fine with me. I enjoyed his presence and we pretty much became best friends.
I stood outside waiting for the players to come out of the locker room. "Are you excited?" I looked over at jay. "About what?" "The baby on the way!" he laughed. "Oh, yeah I'm pretty excited. Paul thinks its going to be a boy already. And my fans are debating if its going to be a girl or boy."
"Whens your first ultrasound?" "Its actually in a few days. I know it wont look like a baby right though.." "Well when the baby is born I will make sure I spoil him or her!" I laughed. "Well okay uncle Jay" The room to the locker room opened and players came out the room, ready to play the Falcons.
I saw Paul and grabbed his arm, pulling him to the side. "Good luck." He grinned. "You're my charm.." We started kissing but a loud voice interrupted us. "I'm watching you two!" Ray L. started. "You better not try anything." I stuck my tounge out at him.
"Lauren we have to get back to your dressing room. We have 5 lucky fans who are waiting to get an autographs and some pictures." "Alright" Paul gave me one last peck on the lips before I went back to the dressing room. After I finished the autographs and pictures, and got something to eat I went out to watch the game. I found Paul's family, and grandparents and Sabrina. I took my seat and watched as the Ravens ran out the tunnel.
During halftime some of Paul's family went to get something to eat. Unfortunately, his grandparents and Sabrina stayed. Jay walked over to me and tapped my shoulder. "Having fun?" I looked over at him. "His grandparents are complete jackasses.." "Why don't you get something to eat? Or walk around a bit?" "Because I'm tired." "Oh Lauren is this your manager?" Sabrina asked. "Yes he is." "Are you a queer?" his grandfather asked. I looked over at him, shocked. They chuckled.
"I'm gay and I'm proud" Jay said. "You are so fucking childish!" I snapped. "Why don't you grow up and start acting your motherfucking age!" He glared at me. "You will not speak to me this way! I don't like you coming into this family and telling me what to do! Why don't you go back to the ghetto with your nigger family! We don't want you here!" Tears stung my eyes. I hated him so bad. Our section had became quiet. I noticed a security guard walking our way. " Ma'am-" "I was on my way out" I interrupted, grabbing my purse.
"You alright?" Jay asked, as my body guards walked us to the car. I shook my head as I wiped my tears. " I hate his grandparents so bad, and Sabrina is just-ugh!" I put my hand on my stomach as I felt the baby move. "I really didn't want to leave the game this early..but I can't stand them..I just cant" I trailed off. My emotions are all over the place right now, but I had to calm down for the sake of my baby and my sanity. I took deep breaths. 'Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale'.
Paul P.O.V
Halftime was finally over and we jogged onto the field once again. I looked up to the crowd to see Lauren. But she wasn't there. I walked up to the crowd. "Where's Lauren?" I questioned Dave. He looked over to our grandparents. "He said something to her, and she left with her manager" he revealed. "What? What did they say?" " The "N" word.." he sighed. I couldn't believe this. "Shit.." I hit my fist on the wall. "Do you a least know where they went?" He shook his head. "She didn't say-" I walked away before I finished listening to what he was saying.
My P.O.V
I pulled the grass up from the ground and then opened my hand to let it fall to the ground. I was back in my old neighborhood. Coming here helped me think. Sometimes I wish I could just sit here and think. The streetlights were bright just like I remembered them. No one was out, it was actually quiet peaceful. It was nice night the stars looked beautiful in the night sky.
I looked down the street where my grandfather lives. The house use to be full of energy. But now it looked dead. Empty. "Who lives down there?" Jay Inquired, as he caught me staring."No one.." I answered getting off the ground. He stood up. "Ready to go?" I nodded. As soon as Jay got off the ground his phone started vibrating. He answered his phone. "She's right here." Jay handed the phone to me. "Hello?" "Lauren, I'm so sorry for my grandparents. They shouldn't have said that to you" Paul apologized.
"You don't have to apologize for them Paul" I replied. It wasn't his fault they were like this. "I know what kind of people they are now. I'm going to let God deal with them. Did you all win?" "Yeah, 31-17!" "That's great babe, I really didn't want to leave early.." "I know you didn't, I already talked to my grandparents. It didn't go so well. But I wasn't going to let them get away with talking to you like that. I just wish they weren't like this" he sighed. "Just get home and hold me.." "Alright babe, I'm on my way." We said our "I love you's" and hung up.
Jay was smiling at me. "What?" "You're so clingy" he joked. "I am not clingy!" "I'm just playing with you. I think its cute you want your man.." "Well who's that man you've been talking to? Jerrod?" He blushed. "Yeah. We're getting pretty serious" he smiled. "How serious?" I asked. We started to the car. "Let me tell you what he did the other day.."

I opened the front door and was bombarded with Cain and Diesel. "Hey boys" I said petting them. "Where's my fiancé at?" I didn't expect them to answer, they were dogs after all. "Right here.." Paul said coming towards me. He took my hand and led me up the stairs. He took my purse and put it on the bed. "Paul what are you? Doing-" "I saw rose petals leading up to giant bath tub. The lights were dimed and it was full of bubbles. "Paul this is-thank you." "I know you're been upset about my grandparents, but you don't have to worry about them anymore" He said helping my remove my clothes.
"What do you mean?" I sat in the tub, feeling the warm water on my body. It smelled like vanilla, its my favorite scent. "They kinda disowned me.." I frowned. "Disowned?" I repeated. He nodded. "But if they can't except that we love each other that's their problem.." I grabbed him by the collar and kissed him. "You're making my shirt all wet!" he laughed. "Well you should just take it off.." I whispered into his ear.
