In the face of adversity
What makes man live
That, which makes him
Slog the swamps of life
Through the living and those who aren't
Throughout the mud of dread
Boggles me, the power of hope
The hearts and valour of man
And even lust, stems from his soul
The essence of humanity
Crawling and prone
The deserts of a barren wasteland
The seven seas and their salt
Lies in which
A belief
A faith
What makes man believe
That life is forgiving
This godforsaken excuse of Earth
A faith that stems from just living
Faith from being human
The will in man
On a thin branch
By the cliff of a fall
Holding tight
In spite of it all
"When there is life, there is hope,
When there is hope. There is a will
When there's a will, there's a way"
