Chapter One

Erik's P.O.V.

"Faster, Patrick! Faster!", Miranda, or should I say Colleen shouts behind the camera as I paddle like my life depends on it.

"She's getting on us! Hurry!", she shouts more.

This is probably one of the best scenes in the show because one: Miranda's dream which is being the Grand Marshall came true. Her dream ever since, like, two days ago and two: Patrick gets to kisshis love interest, Miranda, which means I get to kiss Colleen. Not that I like her. I mea- Oh. Who am I kidding? I do like her. I like her a lot. Wait, no, scratch that. I love her.

It started after I was cast as Patrick when i got my second call to do a chemistry read with her. It was just a tiny crush at first, but it developed over time.

*Flashback*

"Okay. I can do this.", I say to myself as I nervously enter a room full of writers and producers of the show "Haters Back Off!"

As I was entering the room I see a girl coming this way to greet me.

"Hi! I feel like we haven't met formally! I'm Colleen Ballinger. Nice to see you again!", she exclaimed. I could tell that she is a happy person and she likes to spread positivity.

"Hi! I'm Erik. Erik Stocklin.", I said stuttering a bit.

Good Lord! I am nervous.

"Why don't you take a seat and I'll be right back.", she said. Assuring me with every way she can.

I like her. Not in a physical way but I like her, personality-wise. 

"Erik, here's you script. We will start in a few.", she said. Handing me my script.

"Okay.", I replied.

"Okay. We will start the chemistry read now.", the director said.

I notice as Colleen sits down in front of me. Here we go.

"Patrick! We won! We won the whole parade!", Colleen exclaimed nasally. 

"You're amazing at float driving.", she adds.

My line comes next.

"You were my eyes.", I said while reading the script.

"And you were my bottom.", she replied.

That's kind of funny but at the same time romantic.

"You're sweating really hard.", Colleen said with sincerity in her voice.

"So are you. You're still beautiful though.", I said. Full of emotion.

"Then Miranda kisses Patrick. Blah Blah Blah.", Colleen said off character.

For a minute there I thought we were actually gonna kiss. I was sweating. But that kiss does sounds great. 

Wait. What?

What am I thinking about? I think I have feelings for her in real life. Oh no. This can't be good. I'll just continue on saying my lines. So after the kiss I say "Thank you."

''You're welcome.", Colleen replied.

"Does this mean we could go on a date sometime?", I  ask. Still in character.

"Okay.", Colleen said.

I wish this is real life.

"We should probably get out of here. This float's on fire.", Colleen said.

"Yeah I noticed. I didn't wanna say anything.", I agreed.

Well that's the end and it was great.

*End of Flashback*

Anyways, I think I should pay more attention though. I could ruin this take and we're gonna do it all over again. 

Colleen's P.O.V.

I take out my phone to check the time.

"It's 11:00 PM.", I said to  myself

I always work late everyday but I still love my job. I love Vancouver. And I love a certain guy from the cast. I can't believe he gets to kiss this toe. I never Thought that Miranda's story would get to this point. I just wish that Patrick's love for Miranda was in real life if you know what I mean.

Our director, Andrew Gaynord, signaled me to go into the pretend float.

"That's my cue.", I said to myself as I get out of my chair and prepare for the next shot.

I can't believe this. My dream is becoming into a reality. The show that Christopher and I worked on for years is turning real.

As I approach the pretend float I think deeply about everything. Do I really like him? Do I like Erik Stocklin? Yes. I do. I do like him. I want to make him happy. Happy like on a different, higher level. I want to be the one who completes him.

As I enter the hole at the butt of the pretend float I see him. I see Erik drenched with pretend sweat and on his three-wheeled bike. Once I was in I proceeded to say my lines.

"Patrick! We won! We won the whole parade!", I said in character as Miranda.

"You're amazing at float driving.", i add.

His line comes next.

"You were my eyes.", he said. Also in character.

"And you were my bottom.", I replied.

I never thought those lines could make it into the script. It was just a joke

"You're sweating really hard.", I said. Concerned.

"So are you. You're still beautiful though.", he said.

I wish that is what he feels about me in real life.

"The kiss comes next.", I thought. Nervous that I might bail.

I hesitate for a while thinking if I should kiss him. I don't wanna ruin this take.

Oh well.

*Sigh* Here goes nothing.
