"OMG!" Jake screamed in his mind. He had finally had the chance to slow down a bit and sort his thoughts out. He liked Brittney, but he wasn't sure if she liked him back at first, but now he was pretty sure that she liked him too. He is kind of glad he fell from the balcony. He wouldn't have met Brittney if he didn't. These thoughts led him to thinking about how funny it would be to tell people how they met, so he started laughing out loud. He looked over at Britney and she was giving him a weird look.

Once he had calmed down a bit, Britney asked, "What are you laughing at?"

"Oh, nothing." He said trying to catch his breath

"No way. You were so laughing about something," Brittney said. " Now what were you laughing about?"

"I don't want to say," Jake said. He was really embarrassed. She probably noticed too.

"You know you can tell me. I won't tell anyone, especially your friends, " She promised. She also smiled at him, which made him give in

"Ok, I'll tell you," Jake said. "I was laughing about how funny it is going to be when we tell people how we met." He had his head down in embarrassment.

"OMG!" She exclaimed. "You are so right! That's going to be hilarious." Then Brittney bursts out in a fit of giggles, which surprised Jake. He thought for sure she was going to make fun of him for it. He was glad he was wrong. He soon joined her and started laughing again, but this time along with her.

By the time they got closer to the elevator, their laughter had died down. The silently waited for the elevator, except this time it wasn't an awkward silence, it was more of a let's not talk but instead enjoy each other's company.
