A/N PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU ARE STILL READING THIS STORY (SEE A/N AT THE END OF THIS CHAPTER)
Jake was now on his way back up to the suit with Brittney and her two friends, Ash and Steph. They were very pretty girls like Brittney was, but Jake obviously preferred Brittney.
Stephanie, or Steph, had dark brown hair that looked almost black, but you could tell it was brown in the sunlight. She had green eyes and wore a pair of sky blue glasses over them. Her physical features reminded him of his friend Jace, the difference between them was their styles. Jace had a bad boy vibe and style to him, while Steph had this.... to her.
Ashley, or Ash, had blond hair like Brittney, but hers was a shade lighter than Brittney's. Instead of green eyes like the other two girls, Ashley had brown eyes. Jake couldn't really tell anything more about her features because she was decked head to two in Mets gear. It was clear that she loved baseball and was a hardcore baseball fan. She might even be a bigger or just as big of a fan of the sport as Jake's friend Chris who was also a hardcore baseball fan.
Ashley was decked out in a Mets hat with her blond hair put up in a ponytail. She wore a Jacob deGrom jersey with an orange Mets T-shirt underneath. She had a small Mets purse going across her body and sitting on top of that was a Mets jacket. Jake could make out that she was wearing Mets socks with orange and blue tennis shoes, which were not Mets, but they were the teams colors so close enough. For jewelry, she wore a Mets necklace, earrings, and bracelet. It seem a bit much and probably was for just a simple game, but that was just his opinion. Knowing Chris, though, he would appreciate her ensemble and think it was just perfect.
Jake's thoughts were interrupted when the elevator doors opened. By this time, Brittney had finished the story of how they met. Now that everyone was caught up on what had happened, they could stop asking so many questions.
After getting off the elevator, Jake took out the extra suite tickets that he had on him and handed two of them to Ash and Step respectively. Then they all walked to the suite, only stopping when the monitor asked to see their tickets. Jake lead them to the suite in silence. Ashley, Stephanie, and Brittney, though chatted the entire time. It was obvious how close these girls really were just by watching them interact with each other. It was like how Jake acted when he was with Jace and Chris, except when they were together they acted more foolish.
While the girls continued to talk behind Jake, his thoughts shifted to Brittney and how he really felt about her. He needed to sort out his feelings. He knew that he liked Brittney, but that first attraction was based more on looks than personality. Now that he has gotten to know her a little more, he knows he likes her for more than just her looks. She has a great personality too. Based on that alone, he would definitely be asking her out on an official date by the time the game was over. Although he did not know all to much about her personally, he liked what he already knew and wanted to know more. He would know more about her by the end of the game, that he was sure about.
While his mind kept thinking more about the subject of him and Brittney, he walked past his suite door. He didn't realize until Brittney called his name. He turned back and saw the three girls stopped. Wondering why, he walked back over to them.
"What's up?" Jake asked Brittney.
"You walked passed the suite, Jake."
"Oh, I-I did?" Jake looked up at the door number and saw that in fact he had. His cheeks turned a shade of red from the embarrassment of it all.
"Yeah, you did, but its okay." Brittney smiled at him. Then they all headed into the suite, Ashley and Stephanie first. Just as Brittney and Jake were about to follow the two girls, Brittney grabbed Jake's hand and held him back. Jake gave her a questioning look. "So why did you walk pass the suite?"
"Oh, I... um..." Jake stuttered. "I just got, um, lost in my thoughts. I wasn't really paying that close attention." Jake's face, which had gone back to normal, started to heat up and turn red again. He could feel the heat rising to his cheeks.
"What were you thinking about that had you so distracted?" Brittney asked. Jake knew that she would ask. It was just natural that she would want to know, but he did not entirely want to tell her.
"I, um, I was just thinking about you and how little I know about you. I want to get to know you better. " Jake finally told her after several seconds of debating.
"Oh," Brittney's cheeks were now red as well. "Well, I want to get to know better too." Brittney blushed some more then grabbed Jake's hand and they headed into the suite together.
A/N Another chapter complete. I am thinking about unpublishing this story and then possibly just republishing it posting one chapter every week. I don't know. I don't actually know if anyone is even still reading this. If you are still reading this story, comment and let me know what you think of the story. If there are no comments, then I am going to unpublish the story and republish the first several chapters (since they are really short). After that I will just republish one chapter a week and then do the same thing when it comes to new chapters. If I do end up doing that, I will most likely publish new chapters on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays (those are my freest days). Let me know if there is anyone still reading this. Thanks guys. Sorry for the long Author's note
