They just left Jake's friends behind, when Brittney started to think. "Ash and Steph are going to be so happy when I tell them I found a guy. They have been trying to get me a boyfriend for months now. They are going to be even happier when I tell them I found them guys too." Brittney's thought were interrupted when she heard a laugh. She looked over at Jake and saw him laughing.
"What are you laughing at?" She asked.
Jake, though, seemed very hesitant to answer, so she told him that he could trust her and he believed her. If he knew her better, he would have known that she is a great secret keeper. She has kept things such as... She was once again pulled out of her thoughts by Jake, not that she minded, though.
He made her promise not to anyone. Once she promised, he told her what he was laughing about. He was laughing at the thought of telling other people the story of how she caught him, which was hilarious to her. Soon she bursted out into a fit of giggles. Jake joined in and started laughing with her. They continued to laugh until they got close to the elevator.
They arrived at the elevator and got in. No one was in the elevator in other them except for the elevator operator. They arrived on their floor after a few minutes, but Brittney didn't realize it. She was leaning on the doors, so when they opened, she started to fall. Luckily, Jake caught her. Unluckily, Brittney's best friends Ash and Steph just so happened to see them.
"Oh. My. God." Ash and Steph screamed. They shrieked like they were teenage girls that just found out there was a sale at the mall.
So there was Jake, who still had Brittney is his his arms, with a confused expression on his face. Then there were Brittney's friends standing right in front of Jake and Brittney with there jaws dropped pretty much to the floor. Ash and Steph looked as if they were about to explode with excitement.
It took a few minutes, but everyone finally settled down. Brittney was now standing up next to Jake. Her friends, Steph and Ash, were staring at the pair waiting for an explanation from Brittney. Brittney, on the other hand, was looking back and forth from Ash and Steph to Jake. While Jake was staring at Brittney waiting for an explanation as to who Ash and Steph were since he had not met them yet.
It took a few more minutes of silence before someone spoke up. "Ok Britt. What the hell?" Ash finally asked her best friend. She couldn't take the silence anymore. She wanted some answers, so she just spoke everything on her mind at a fast paced speed. "We have been looking for you for like the past 30 minutes. You just disappeared after the top of the third. We turned our heads and you were gone. Now when we finally find you, you are in some hot guy's arms. Where have you been? Who is this guy? Why did you leave? Why didn't you tell us where you were?"
Ashley would have kept going if Brittney didn't cut her off. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Ash, calm down. I'm right here. You found me. Sorry I didn't let you guys know that I left. It was kind of an impulse thing. I didn't really have the chance. Anyway, I will answer all your questions in a minute. You just need to calm down first."
"Ok!" Ash took several deep breaths in and exhaled to calm herself.
Once Britt knew she was calm, she apologized to her friends again. "I'm sorry I worried you guys. It wasn't my intention. I was actually coming down here to find you guys. I have some amazing news to tell you, but first let me introduce you to him." Brittney indicated Jake to the two girls. "Ash, Steph, this is Jake. Jake these are my two best friends I was just telling you about, Ashley and Stephanie. They prefer to be called Ash and Steph though." The three of them shook hands and exchanged nice to meet yous.
Before Britt could continue with her story, Steph spoke up. "Okay, Britt, it's great that you met this guy, but what does he have to do with us? I figure that he is the reason you went 'missing'."
Britt nodded her head. "Yeah he is, but I am not finished with my story yet Steph." Steph nodded indicating to Britt that she should continue with the story. "Okay, well, I met Jake under what you could call unusual circumstances, which I will explain later." Jake chuckled a bit at this. "Anyway," Britt continued to push on so that her friends would not get the chance to interrupt her again. "After I met Jake, he invited me up to the suite he has for the game, which is where I have been. Now this all has to do with you two because Jake has two friends, who I happen to think you two would really like. So would you like to come with us back to the suite?"
"Of course." They said in unison.
"But you better explain those unusually circumstances on the way there," Ash sternly demanded.
"Fine, but you guys are in for one hell of a story," Britt told them as she started to explain how Jake fell and she caught him and everything that happened after that.
A/N I have a pretty chill week this week, so I am going to try and add at least another chapter maybe two if possible this week.
