Ooh look! Yet another story I haven't updated in a while!

Just a quickie little filler chapter~ :3 Nothing too important~

Most of training you had to undergo seemed easy, for now, although everyone knew that real titans were much more frightening and difficult to handle. Sometimes you wondered why this many people were willing to join the army, until you came across the recurring revelation that many of the trainees, like Jean Kirschtein, were hoping to somehow get within Wall Sina.

You knew that was an impossible choice for you. Graduation had taken place yesterday, and you weren't part of the top ten, although you were very close. Mikasa, of course, had ranked first. It's not like you cared whether you were in the Military Police or not. You joined the army because you thought your original, regular life within Rose would lack anything spectacular that could make your life interesting, and it was quite a bore, the only thing you did was fetch firewood and water for your family of four.

You lived with your grandmother after your parents had died, along with your two younger brothers. She never told you how or why they had died, as if it caused her much more pain than she had already felt. Although, you had came across realization when you were old enough to understand why everyone was always surrounded by large, fifty-meter walls. Once, before your parents had died, you had noticed your mother wearing a dark, forest-green hooded cloak with an winged emblem embroidered on the back. Now that you were fifteen years of age, you logically assumed that your father was also a Survey Corps soldier, and they had died in midst of battle. Even though their bodies were never recovered, and they should have technically been classified as M.I.A., you always had that strange, nonrealistic feeling that they would someday return to you with bright smiles and open arms.

Your brothers, you trusted, were responsible enough to take care of your grandmother in your place. It took a lot of convincing for you to join, and it never worked. You had finally snapped and left abruptly from home, after telling the older of your brothers to take care of your family in your stead. You do regret leaving so suddenly, as your grandmother and brothers are most definitely worried sick about you, especially with the current situations. One day, you plan to return and apologize, but for now, your main focus was on the army. But who knew? Perhaps you may never return.

This was the place where your facade had formed. You had always had a generous nature, although it only strengthened profoundly here. Mainly because you were hoping to gain as many friends and allies as possible, which could prove to be a great benefit while fighting. Being a person who also liked to volunteer and help others like an angelic being also helped create a great impression upon yourself.

Now, whether you wanted to join the Garrison or Survey Corps would have been an easy decision for a regular novice. But you were no regular novice.

It was such a dishonorable, or even terrible thing to think. You were actually considering the Survey Corps. After all, what things did the Garrison actually do? Not very much.

Might as well see what everyone law does and tag along, Survey Corps or not. Whatever they choose, you'd choose as well. Rather a blunt and non-admirable way to view things, but you didn't care at all.

After all, there was practically no reason to live anymore, thanks to the titans.
