CHAPTER: 2
It's a 2 hour ride to the new town. It's been half an hour since Ben and Callie fell asleep. They look too peaceful.
Ever since mom died they have been my responsibility.
I love them to bits.
This would be another new start, don't know but I am already having some weird sort of feeling about this, I can't figure out if it's a good vibe or what? However, what could possibly go wrong, no one knows us, and no one will.
This is a new beginning, And things will change.
Less worries and less drama.
The bus halted, this is the last stop. Our stop. I shake Callie and Ben, "Wake up sleepy heads, this is our stop." I informed them and pulled out our bags from the luggage cupboard, I observed them squirming in their seats.
Sleeping Bueaties.
That's it. I don't want to get stuck in a bus. At that momment
something caught my eye, I smiled sheepishly grabbing the water bottle from the bottle holder and..... SPLASH... ha-ha!"RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY ---" cutely sang Callie
"FLOOOOOD! WE. ARE. GONNA. DIE." Both of them jumped out of their seats in fright.
They blinked in realization.
*BLINK, BLINK, BLINK.*
And turned their heads towards me, who was laughing out loud, As I looked up to their faces, they were giving me an 'Any-Death-Wish' stare.
After one minute:
'Any-Death-Wish' *staring*
Two minutes:
'Any-Death-Wish' *staring*
Two ½ minutes:
'Any-Death-Wish' *staring*
"What?" I snap them and grab my bag getting off the bus. "We have arrived guys." I make them aware.
-----------------------------------------------
Presently we are sitting in a cab, and making our way to the residence of 'Claire's friend's mother'. Hope she is not like those highly sophisticated wicked old ladies who follows strict rules or schedules, no noise, not to speak at dining tables or follows schedule. Well... If Claire trusts us with her, WE HAVE NO PROBLEM.Ben and Callie are quite occupied by the view of the town, they have boycotted talking to me since the 'Raining in the bus' incident. I have to admit the town is beautiful. The houses are in a single lane on both the sides of the streets, Surrounded by tall lavish olive trees and coral, tangerine florals. Even the wind was pregnant with smell of lillac and lemon.
"Here's your stop ma'am" driver broke the silence to get our attention, as we were occupied with the surrounding.
"Oh!" I blurted and handed him the money, we got off the cab and I mouthed thanks to him.
We entered the main gate and minced through the garden to the front door. We stood silently. Finally, Callie made a move and rang the doorbell. Within seconds we were greeted by a lady nearly in her 70's. She stood with a slouching posture wearing a pair of rimmed glasses with a baggy pokemon print gown touching her ankles. She stood there with a goofy smile.
Looks like we are the ones who's gonna suffer torture. But I think it's gonna be great cause totally loves pokemon, i suppose, and so do I.
Now atleast its 2 on 2
Pokemon haters= Ben and Callie,
Lovers♥♥♥♥= old lady and me.
Ben and Callie give me a hideous glare, as if reading my mind.
