Your POV:
Ethan wanted to take me out to a fancy restaurant tonight because since he hasn't spent a lot of time with me recently, he wanted to treat me to something special. He actually picked out what I was going to wear, which was a red dress with nude/pink heels, and gold earrings (in the media slot). Once I was dressed, I applied little amount of makeup, and curled my hair. I sprayed some of Ethan's favorite perfume I have, and grabbed my handbag. I slipped my heels on and made my way down the stairs, where Ethan was waiting for me. Once he saw me, his face lit up.
Ethan's POV:
I saw (Y/N) and my smile grew so big. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. How did I get so lucky to have her as a girlfriend, and soon, hopefully, my fiancée and my wife. Yep I was planning on proposing to her tonight. I'd been planning this for months, Grayson, Alex, Nate, and even my mom and sister all helped me out finding a ring that (Y/N) would love. I finally found the right one, and then I had to figure out a day/night to do it, and where. I was so nervous.
What if she says no?
What if something happens and I lose the ring?
What if she feels like we're moving too fast? That couldn't be because we've been together for 3 years. I got taken away from my thoughts as she started walking down the stairs and towards me. I grabbed her hands when she reached the bottom and pulled her into a hug.
"You look so beautiful. I love you," I said in her ear. She giggled a little and pulled away.
"I love you too, Ethan. Now come on, we're gonna be late for our reservations." I laughed and nodded, grabbing her hands again and dragging her out the door to my car.
*skip car ride*
I pulled up to the restaurant and got out, going around to the passenger side and instantly grabbing (Y/N)'s hand. We walked into the restaurant, and I told the person behind the front desk I had reservations. She smiled and led us to the table. Once seated, we ordered our drinks and started looking through the menus. I didn't know when the right time to propose was.
Do I do it right now, before we eat?
Do I do it when we get our food?
Do I do it when we're eating dessert?I have no idea. After a long thought process, I finally decided to do it after we ordered.
"Everything looks so good. I don't know what to get," I heard her say. I laughed at her and she glared at me, jokingly. She then laughed, and I knew 100% I was making the right decision to marry her. She looked back at the menu and finally decided what she wanted, I already knew what I wanted within 2 minutes of looking through the menu. The waitress came back and took our orders, leaving with the menus. Well. Here goes nothing. I took a deep breath and looked at her, grabbing her hands that were resting on the table.
"(Y/N), we've been together for 3 years, wow, that's a long time. These past 4 years I've known you have been the best years of my life. I can't see myself with anyone else but you. And, I see you in my future. So," I pulled the box out of my pocket, got out of my seat, and kneeled on the ground next to her.
"(Y/N) (Y/L/N), will you do me the honors of being my wife, and will you marry me?"
She was so shocked, but that didn't stop her from answering.
"Yes! Yes! A million times yes!" She yelled, standing up from her seat, as I stood up also, pulling her into a hug. She was crying at this point. I, however, was the happiest man alive. Once we pulled back, I noticed people around us were clapping and looking at us with smiles on their faces; no one mattered at the moment, other than my beautiful fiancée. I pulled the ring from the box and placed it on her finger. Her smile was priceless; it was as bright as the ring I just placed on her finger. I pulled her into another hug. I don't think I could ever be this happy again, well, until we have our first child. We sat back down, and continued our date. The conversations we had throughout the night was where the wedding was gonna be, when it was, who is gonna be invited, etc. Neither of us could contain our excitement for our future together. After we finished dinner, we called everyone we knew and told them the news. Everyone was so happy, but no one could be happier than me.
