My contest entries!!!

A vampire at school (#iDream contest)

It was my first day as a vampire... I couldn't let anyone know about it, but still had to go to school...

When I got there, my best friend, Will, was waiting for me in the playground.

-Hi Elizabeth!   he said.

-Hey Will!   I answered, trying to hide my embarrassment.

-So? Do you know where to get a vampire costume for Halloween now?   he asked.

This question annoyed me.
We had talked about it a few days ago. We wanted to dress up as vampires for Halloween, but we didn't know where to get the perfect costumes... Well, that was when I wasn't a vampire yet...

-No, I don't.   I simply answered.

-Oh.   he said, surprised by my short answer.

I felt bad about being rude, but I didn't want to talk about vampires ever again.

The bell rang. While everyone queued up to get in class, I stayed back. I tried to calm down... It was going to be okay... No one would ever notice that I was a vampire...

Will turned around because he noticed that I wasn't there anymore.

-Are you okay Elizabeth? You don't look good...   he said.

-I'm fine.

He came closer to me.

-You sure?

I could see his veins and hear his heart beating. I panicked. As he was coming closer to me, I felt like biting him. Just a little bite...

-No!   I shouted out loud.

-Wow! Don't get mad!   he said.   What's wrong?

-Oh err... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout... I've got a big headache...

Teacher Ralph turned around because I had shouted. When he saw me, he jumped of surprise and said:

-Elizabeth! What happened?!

I was really starting to panic now. Maybe my fangs had grown, maybe my eyes were fully red, or maybe I looked so pale, like a vampire?

-Wha-... what's wrong...?   I tried to say something else like "I'm okay" or something but I fell on the floor.

Everything was blurry... I didn't understand what was going on...

-You are so pale!   said teacher Ralph.   And your eyes are fully red! But the worse of all, you've got fangs!

I looked at him in the eyes. He looked scared of me. I saw his veins and the blood going through them. It was so tempting to just make a little bite in his neck... Suddenly, I couldn't control myself anymore, I shouted:

-It's because I'm... a vampire!!!

I jumped on him and bit him in the neck. I drank his blood. It tasted good... Everyone was screaming. They all went to get crosses, garlic and wooden sticks. They were trying to chase me. Or to kill me. But I didn't care.

I bit a little girl who was crying and thought "You won't ever cry again". I enjoyed biting people so much! I ran into a random student who was trying to escape and I bit him too. I went to some of my classmates as well and drank their blood. Suddenly, Will kicked me in the back.

It hurt so much that I fell on the ground. I looked at him with evil eyes. I wanted to kill him, just like I had killed many others.

I jumped on Will and tried to bite him in the neck, but instead, I bit a huge piece of garlic. He had put a garlic collar on! My surviving classmates were all in a circle around me now. I was stuck in the middle of them. I tried to escape but I couldn't. One of them was walking toward me with a stake. I started screaming...

And I woke up. At the hospital.

It was a nightmare. I was actually screaming in my bed. I stopped and sighed. I was still a vampire, but I wasn't evil and no one knew... Yet...
