RECAP:

"Oh So you want to play tough girl now." Matthew chuckled. "Em, don't shoot." Trent pleded as his eyes were as soft as I had ever seen them. "If you don't get that knife out of my nephews throat right this instant, I will blow your fucking brains out right here all over this ground." I heard Elaine growl. Oh shit.

Mattew immediatly dropped the knife and put his hands up in the air Causing Trent to drop to the ground. I squeezed the trigger as I held my aim right on Matthew. I felt the kick of the gun forcing my arm upwards as the power of the blast shot through the gun. I gasped as I saw Matthew drop to his knees and then fall face first, landing Partially on a limp Trent who was still gasping for air.

Jewels ran over to Matthew growling as she took his pant leg in his mouth as she attempted to drag him of from Trent. I shook in horror at the sight in front of me until I felt two motherly arms wrap around me, trying their best to sooth me. "Oh My God Elaine I I I I juusst shhhot Matthew." I studdered as I leaned all my weight on her. "Shhhh.....no honey." Elained cooed as she took the gun out of my hand.

"You didn't shoot him sweety. I did." Elaine spoke causing my heart to speed up.

"Elaine, I felt the kick of the gun. I know." "Em, now please honey. I shot him okay?"

She lied again. Why the hell was she saying it was her? I knew it was me. "Look at me Emily."

Elaine ordered causing me to look at her. "I am the one that has the gun in my hand. I shot him. Do you understand me?" She questioned as she looked me in the eye." I nodded knowing that there was no point in arguing right before she wrapped me in a hug once again. "Oh my God! Trent." I whispered as I pulled out of her arms and ran off the porch and knelt down next to the man that I loved.

"Trent." I cried as I pulled him up to lay on me. " Are you okay Baby?" I questioned as I pulled his face up to look at me. " I need a drink please." Trent spoke through a raspy voice.

"Aunt Elaine, Get him water please." I requested. " Yes." She answered as she walked up on the porch. "Aunt Elaine? Oh God." Trent whispered causing my lips to twitch up into a smile. Even with all that had just happened, that man still had the ability to make me smile and that is why I loved him so much, I was happy. "I heard that boy." Elaine called. "Do you want this water now or later?"

She questioned causing Trent to chuckle and shake his head.

"I couldn't find a faucet that spit out water, just coffee." Elaine teased as she held the cup out for me to take. " Oh My Aunt Loves me." I announced bringing the cup of delicious hot gold to my lips. As I sipped the hot liquid, the events of what had just happened came back to my mind.

I knew that Emily had fired the gun because as soon as I hit the ground, my head spun right to her to make sure she was safe and I saw the fire come out of my gun, but I also heard my Aunt Elaine Telling Emily that she shot Matthew.

Although I hated the law I knew they would be coming, and the quicker we got our stories straight the better. I figured the best way around it was to play stupid.

"Who shot him?" I questioned as I looked between the both of them. "I did." My Aunt spoke up.

"Trent, No it was me." Emily jumped in. "Trent tell your girl, that I shot him, nephew will ya." Elaine demanded. I knew that my Aunt wasn't going to let this go. She has always kept me straight and right now she was going to protect me and the one that I loved, no matter how many years she would spend behind bars. This was the side of my Aunt that came out when one of her family members were in trouble. " Emily don't you remember I walked over toward you as I was pointing my gun at Matthew and I took the gun out of your hand and pointed that one at Matthew also when he finally let trent drop, I shot him right in the head." Elaine lied. We had to go over this s
