chapter 11

'Emma wake up!' Kim screamed as she put her clothes on.
'it's almost 7am!

as i heard 7am, i jumped from the king sized bed and ran to Mrs Potter's room.

'Mrs Potter!! get the girls and the baby! we gotta go to the airport!! now!! i yelled as i knocked harder!

she opened the door and to my surprise, she was ready..

'what about the girls' i asked

'ready too' she said.

i ran to check my girls and i found Sarah crying..

'where are we going mama?' jane asked

'you are all going to southern Africa to visit aunt Sophie..she has a nice treat for you girls.
I'll come join you soon but for now, mama has to work honey'

'I'll miss you mama' Sarah said in sobs

'I'll miss you more my princesses' Mrs potter will take care of you..just call me when you need anything, okay?

i hugged them in tears as they hugged me back.

Kim hugged them too and we prepared to leave. it was the best thing to do, they can't know their father is a very dangerous person who didn't give a damn about their existence.. they are kids.

we did the necessary things and waited till it was time. we said our goodbyes and Kim tried to make me strong as i watched my kids run to safety in a whole new world.

at least, they were safe.

just as we were about to leave the airport, my phone rang. it was Jaden, my secretary at the office. why was she calling?

'hi, Mrs Parker, your husband said he needed some things from you but he couldn't reach you and since Miss Kim informed me that she would be going with you to the airport before coming to work, i told him to meet you up there.' Jaden explained

'hold on, which husband are you talking about here?' i asked as we walked to our cars..

'Mr Jason of course' she grunted

OH NO!

this isn't good.

'Kim, leave your car here! lets go in mine, you'll drive! i yelled.
hurry!!

i gave her my keys and she didn't even argue. she knew something was wrong.

'Emma!! what is wrong?!!'

'you told Jaden you were coming to the airport, Jason tricked her into telling him our whereabouts!'

'oh my God, I'm so sorry! she cried.

'its not your fault, if anything happens to your car, I'll get you a new one..right now, we have to leave this place in one car...they'd think we are still in the airport! i exclaimed.

we saw Jason and some men drive pass us, we were so grateful they didn't notice us..we were in deep shit.

Kim started the car slowly and she drove slowly out of the parking lot before speeding our lives out.

as we got to a safe place, we got down to remove my car's identity number...both front and back..

no Daniel, no Andrew. nobody.

where are the men when you need them?

we parked my car in a local parking lot, a few blocks away from my house. we just needed to get inside my house and we would be safe.

we eventually walked to my house safely and we locked the door with its remote control, the windows, the lights, everything.

Kim called Jaden to tell her that we wouldn't be coming to work in 2months, she told her we had to go to China for business and Jaden bought it. she also asked her to tell some of the managers that I would be absent for a while..so they could run things in my absence and hers.

my phone rang again and it was Daniel!! they were back!! i sent him a message instead about us been trapped in my house and where my car was and Kim's.

the smartest thing to do was to switch our phones off which we did...

after 30-40 minutes, we heard voices.

'find them you assholes!!!!' first voice screamed

'no one is here, everywhere is locked,' second voice said as we heard others running and peeping.

'boss is gonna be mad! he didn't find them at the airport after searching for an hour, what is with him and his ex wife anyway?' a third voice said

we were inside the kitchen cabinet and we looked at each other happily as they left one by one.

'that is none of our business Jerry, we were paid awesomely well for this. we should work and not ask questions. the first voice snapped.

'I'm just saying, i don't kill people. I've got a family too" jerry yelled back.

at least we were safe for the night.
