Chapter 17 : Flashback

I didn't like the idea of splitting up but it was necessary. Carlisle was deciding who all will be in the two groups.

"We would like to know what happened, first, if you don't mind." Stefan said to Carlisle. "If the child could show us…"

I immediately took a step back and took a protective stance in front of Renesmee who was standing beside Jacob. Whatever they might say, I didn't trust them around Renesmee. They had a wild look in their eyes. Edward turned back to look at me and gave me a reassuring smile. He silently told me that there was no danger. I sighed but shifted back into my normal position and took Renesmee's hand in mine, leading her towards the Romanians. Jacob fell in step behind me. The Romanians looked at us with an amused expression but kept quiet. Renesmee smiled at them and reached out to them, her hand extended. Vladimir came forward and kneeled down in front of Renesmee and she pressed her hand to his face. Immediately his eyes focused out as Renesmee showed him all that has been happening this past month. I chewed onto my bottom lip as Vladimir pulled back as Renesmee dropped her hand. He blinked twice then got up.

"I see…we are well aware of Volturi's dirty tactics." He looked at Stefan and nodded. "We are with you Carlisle. We are ready to help in any way possible."

Stefan nodded in consent "We need to first warn the others."

Alice came forward "They are planning to attack the Irish group first. We should meet up and explain the situation to them as soon as possible."

Carlisle nodded "I think we should split up in two groups. One group will find the Irish coven and the others will warn our other vampire friends."

Stefan nodded "I agree with Carlisle. This way we will be saving time too."

"Edward, Bella, Jasper, Jacob, Renesmee and Emmett. You will find as many of our friends as you can and warn them about the forthcoming situation." He said "Stefan, Vladimir, Esme, Rosalie and Alice will come with me. We will be going to Ireland and make sure that the Irish coven is safe."

Everyone nodded in consent and I gave a relieved sigh. At least Edward and Renesmee will be with me.

"We first want to go for a quick hunt, if you don't mind." Vladimir said. "You all must hunt too before heading out. This area has plenty of wild life, enjoy yourself." He grimaced, probably imagining us drinking animal blood. It was a repulsive thought to most normal vampires.

Carlisle nodded "Yes I think that's a good idea. We all will be heading towards the east forest, Edward you lead your group towards the north east. The air port is closer that side and you will be able to catch the flight in plenty of time."

Edward nodded and we all embraced and said our good-byes. Rosalie and Emmett shared a passionate kiss as Alice hugged Jasper and he kissed her fore head. Esme and Carlisle took turns hugging everyone and both Rosalie and Esme showered Renesmee with hugs and kisses. Emmett pulled me in a bear hug with so much force that it would have probably crushed the bones of a normal human to dust. "Yay, we are in team Edward!" He winked and nodded his head towards Edward who grimaced at him.

"I'll sacrifice anything to get out of your mind right now.." Edward mumbled as Emmett guffawed and slapped him hard on the back. Then it was time for us to part ways and Jacob changed into his wolf form and sat down so that Renesmee could climb his back. We all started heading towards the north-east as Carlisle lead his group in the other direction. Soon we came across the trail of a leopard and Edward smiled at me as I leaped upon it and snapped its neck quickly to spare the unnecessary pain and fear. Soon we all had hunted and it was time for us to head towards the air port. Jasper picked up our luggage from the hotel as I asked Edward "Where are we headed to, anyway?"
