As I was in the car after a depressing school day of trying to pretend to be popular and care about the annoying gossip my mother suddenly jerked the steering wheel. I went smashing into the windshield and I felt my body being jerked as we stopped by crashing into a tree. One thought ran through my head at that moments Story of my life. " Are you OK?" "Yes", I said. My mother didn't talk a lot. She was usually at work. My mother was a bartender who knew all of the gossip in town but never knew or understood the life of middle school. She made an effort to understand but it never worked. Most of my life I was on my own to face my problems. I know what you are thinking Your life is so sad Myra I feel so bad for you. I don't need sympathy. The only reason why I had ever managed to make friends ever since my old friends left was because of me making up lies about how hard my life was. My life isn't that hard. My parents are married and I have a loving sibling. I live in a 3 story house with low speed internet and a decent TV. I had support. I wasn't worried about the car. For some reason I am incapable of worrying. It's hard to get me to worry about something. My mother and me started to walk down the sidewalk. My house wasn't far from my horrible school. My mother didn't even bother to call anyone. My mother had some issues like not really caring about disasters like this. Someone would take care of it. After all, the car was a rental. Some of you may be thinking What is wrong with you Myra? That is a actually common question. When I was in 7th grade I used to wonder what was wrong with me. Someone who doesn't seem to care about anything has to have something wrong with them. I care it's just that I can't care. Note, this book was written from journal references. Ever since 7th grade I stopped caring. All of the hurt and anger seemed to have gotten to me. I now didn't really feel emotions as much. I just went through life.
