June 4
I have seen celebrities crowd surf but I never imagined doing it myself. The crowd was so packed that it wasn't possible for me to hit the ground. I went pretty far feeling excited yet terrified. Eventually I reached a empty spot at the edge of the crowd and everyone cheered. A cop ran over to me and grabbed me and I walked to the police car. I jumped in and the cop started to drive me to the police station. It took me a few minutes to to realize what had happened. A normal kid should have been panicked and should have tried to explain that his/her mother hadn't ambushed them and the whole thing was just a fail video. But I was tired of feeling worthless. My mother cared about me and my sister did to but could use this opportunity to become famous. My classmates and friends might actually like me and I could be respected and not looked down upon as a innocent good for nothing little girl. I was tired of all of it. The cop eventually brought me to the station where a reporter stood. People swarmed me asking "Myra are you OK?" "Myra what is it like to have a mother like that." The reporter eventually had the camera's rolling and I said" I am fine and my parents may not be perfect but they still love me." Them the reporter looked around and shouted " This girl can be the new icon of an abused child! If she becomes successful than she can give hope to all of the abused children! The reporter was a 30ish year old man who wore a simple shirt and pants. I didn't recognize him but I knew that he was probably important. I was still in shock from all that happened. The things I said to the reporters would be on TV. I was being considered a icon for abused children. I needed to know more. I ran to one of the people in the crowd and asked " How many views has my video gotten so far?" The woman looked at me shocked. She must have thought I was some god or something because she fainted in the spot. All of this felt unrealistic. An hour ago nobody would have known me but now people were swarming to meet me and thought I was some unworldly being. All of this seemed to start to make my feeling of worthlessness fade away. Slowly the crowd started to leave and I was left to do a few more interviews. I started to wonder when I would get home. This whole event seemed big but I knew it might just vanish and eventually I would be forgotten. But instead something happened that would change my future. As I started to walk towards a reporter someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned to see a middle aged man who wore a expensive suit and seemed to be ready for business. I had been taught to respect and trust those who seemed to be rich so I turned and asked " what do you want?" The man smiled and said" Myra, you seem to be the next big talent. I would like to sign you while you are still noticed."
