I guess I really was going crazy; Two boys fighting over me? No way, José. For once, I just wanted to sit alone, listen to nature, all that cliché stuff. But no. Reality and Life just did a double Hadouken on my face with three decisions: hurt a friendship, or start a fight, or complete a friendship puzzle that was missing a piece. Granted, the first two are a lose-lose situation with a side of L.
I had to make a game plan. The plan was to get them both together then eat together. Plan B was to...I don't really have a plan b but just pretend I do. I only had one chance to do this.
I saw Elias walking down the hall to his next class. I ran up to him and said " Hey, Mr. Schider (our social studies teacher) said to meet him outside for some environmental studies or whatever he said, at lunchtime." "Wait! What about ou-" I dashed passed him to the stairs, cutting him off "I'll see you later!"
Since I NEVER pay attention to what's in front of me I tripped forward the stairs. I hate that trait of mine. I felt someone catch me down the stairs. Upon closer inspection, it was Charel. He seemed nice. "Oh. It's you. You okay? You took a pretty bad blunder down those stairs." "Yea I'm fine. Can you put me down now?" I chuckled. "Yea, sorry about that." I could easily tell he was embarrassed by that. "No, no your fine! Thanks again!" I said turning to the next stairwell. Not learning my lesson, I (somewhat) walked carefully down the stairs and rushed the corner to Art class. I made it in time, and managed to get to my seat when the bell rang (coincidence I think not).
Elias was shooting dirty looks at me the whole class (and I mean WHOLE CLASS) and was honestly making me a little uncomfortable. I hated it, and he was about to get a piece of it.
At the end of class, I saw Elias trying to make a break for it to our next class but I think he forgot that I had track team legs. I caught up to him and grabbed his hand. " Elias, what is wrong with you? You can't just shoot dirty looks at me and think you can get away with it without explaining! You know how I am!" I shouted. He didn't look back. I let go, getting the idea that's he's mad at me. You know what? If he doesn't care I don't care either! He's just mad that my body is too bootylicious for him and that I'm not some friend he can pick off the street and put em back on when he's bored. I'm a slightly grown independent woman (do what ever I want).
About another 3 classes go by and comes lunch. I go to Milan right before he leaves and said " Mr. Schider wanted you to go to the main gate for some environmental studies something like that for lunch." I ran past him, making him not ask anymore questions.
I went outside to the main gate (outside whatever you call it) to wait for the both of them. Very non-surprisingly, both of them came, in the opposite direction. " I am NOT eating with that stuck-up self-mirror!" They both said at the same time. Might as well call them twins, heh. "And you guys call yourself friends? Come on now! If your going to fight out all your differences every time you meet each other in the hallway, why be friends, or even hang out together?" I saw their faces in regret and apology and truly, I was proud of them. "Yea, she has a point. Sorry, Mila." "Sorry Eli." "Now are we gonna sit here and mope around? Or eat lunch?" We all embraced the evening sky as we ate our lunch in harmony. [I'm sorry I had to add a cliché sentence at the end]MISSION LUNCH GROUP: Was a COMPLETE success.
