The villagers were awestruck, as Kaleb completely destroyed all of the soldiers and the mage. Many ran away, believing they would be killed as well.
After the soldiers were dust Kaleb landed on the ground and fainted. His parents picked him up and took him to the village healer.
A few hours passed and Kaleb awoke from his dreamless slumber, but no one was in the room. He walked to the door and heard his parents as well as a group of people that sounded angry.
"He must be arrested and sent away. He lied about not stealing the relic and killed a captain and a mage. He is too dangerous to leave here."
Kaleb remembered the soldiers arriving and the eclipse, but after that he only remembered gold and silver lights. He opened the door and walked into a room full of people. When they saw him many backed away or left.
"Kaleb, you're awake! Thank god!", said his mother, as she hugged Kaleb.
He remained silent as he got out of the hug and walked out of the building, with the villagers opening a path.
"Where are you going?", asked his father.
He paused and calmly said, "Somewhere safe for me and all of you."
After that he ran, faster than ever to the gate. He'd left his home forever.
His mother went into the room where he'd been sleeping and found a note on the bed.
This is a message to all of the people whom I cared about in the village. I did not steal the relic and I don't know how I acquired it, but I will find out, and when I do, I'll clear my name and return. Don't come looking for me, as you will not find me.

She began to cry, and some of the people in the other room heard her and came to see what happened. When his father saw the note he picked it up and read it aloud. Some of the people began to cry as well, including Kaleb's father. Others cheered happily as they were no longer in danger and they were happy their wish of him leaving came true.
To those that cheered that day, Kaleb's father yelled to get out. They immediately followed the order and left, leaving the small group of friends and family Kaleb left behind.
