Confessions.

Phil's POV

I wake up again, this time in a different place. The lights are too bright, and it takes my eyes a moment to adjust. I'm in a hospital room, and there is a doctor in the doorway. I feel warmth in my left hand, I look over and see Dan. He fell asleep holding my hand. He looks so beautiful sleeping. So peaceful.

"You're awake!" The doctor finally speaks. He walks over to my bed, and starts checking something on a clipboard.

"Um, what happened?" I ask.

"Well, you had many cuts on your arms, and you were close to bleeding out. Luckily your boyfriend here found you before that happened. We gave you some stitches, and they will be able to come out within a weeks time."

"Boyfriend?" Why would he think Dan is my boyfriend?

"Oh, are you two not together? He sure seemed to think so."

I look over at Dan and smile. Does he have feelings for me as well? Why else would he call me his boyfriend? I almost killed myself... and Dan had feelings for me?

I see Dan starting to stir.

"Excuse me Doctor, could you give me and my... boyfriend, a moment to talk?"

"Of course." He smiles and exits the room.

"Phil!" Dan wakes up and jumps out of his chair, embracing me for a moment. I could stay here forever. He pulls away, and looks down at me.

"You have some explaining to do." He says firmly, his eyes starting to tear up.

"I know, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have done it." I try to hold back my tears.

"I saw a lot of old scars as well Phil, why did you never tell me?"

"Those are from before we met, Dan. You made my life so much better, do I didn't feel the need to cut anymore. Until last night. You stormed out and I thought you were never coming back." Tears were streaming down my face at this point.

"I can't live without you, Dan."

"Phil..." he takes my hands and looks me straight in the eyes. "I will never leave you. No matter what."

I smile at him, and we sit in silence for a moment, staring into each others eyes.

"You have explaining to do as well, Daniel." I tease.

"What are you talking about?" Dan laughs.

"How come I never knew we were boyfriends?"

Silence.
