“Come on!” I whined for the hundredth time.

I had noticed that their kitchen was pretty much empty of anything edible, so needed someone to go food shopping with me. However, nobody wanted to go and going alone would bore me to death.

“No. Food shopping is boring.” Ricky groaned.

“It’s too early to move, anyway.” Ryan added.

We had all fallen asleep on the sofa after watching a few movies. I was woken up by Chris who wanted to get up, and needed me to move since I had fallen asleep on him. I decided to make something for breakfast after that and then had my kitchen discovery.

“It’s noon. Stop being lazy.” I grumbled.

“No.” Ryan and Ricky said in unison.

“How about you, Devin? You’re nice enough to come with me, right?” I asked.

“I’m too tired. I wanna go back to sleep.” He said before getting up and walking upstairs.

“Ange? Oh, he’s still asleep. Balz?” I asked.

“Just ask Chris, you know he’ll say yes in a flash.” Balz rolled his eyes.

“Ask me what?” Chris asked as he walked downstairs in fresh clothes with slightly damp hair; he had just showered by the looks of it.

“Come food shopping with me?” I begged.

“Sure.”

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“Oh. Well it’s nice to see not all of you are lazy.” I grinned in relief that I had someone to come with me.

I was even happier that it was Chris, and that I got to spend some time alone with him.

“Only because he…” Ricky began but Chris threw a pillow at him.

“What?” I asked.

“Only because I want to get Starbucks.” Chris said quickly.

“Oh, yeah I need that too.” I realized.

“Nice save, Chris.” Balz laughed.

“What? You guys talk weird. Stop confusing me.” I mumbled before shaking my head and getting back on topic. “I’m gonna shower and get ready quickly, I won’t be long.”

And with that, I headed upstairs.

“What the fuck?” I blurted angrily once Rose was gone.

“Oh come on, it’s obvious you like her.” Balz said.

“W-what?” I asked.

Damn. Was it that obvious? How could they tell? I thought I was doing a good job of hiding it. If Balz knew, did that mean Rose knew too?! Oh fuck. I’m doomed.

“It’s so easy to tell!” Ricky added.

“Yeah, I’m surprised Ange hasn’t ripped your dick off already.” Ryan chuckled.

“I don’t like her that way!” I protested anyway.

“You suck at lying.” Balz shook his head.

I thought of something I could say back, but I knew anything I said would have been in vain.

“Ok, so I’m starting to like her. Why does it matter?” I grumbled.

“It’s been three years since…” Ryan began but Ricky punched his arm to shut him up. “Ow! Oh… Never mind.”

“It’s been three years since my girlfriend broke up with me.” I rolled my eyes. “You can say it.”
