Stars in the inky night sky hung loosely above me as I sat on top of the dumpster with my head in my hands, exhaustion crept over me to the point I actually considered laying down and never leaving. I was tired. Not just because of the almost sleepless nights and the fact I was almost certain I was coming down with a cold or something, but I felt emotionally drained. I missed Chris... I missed Ange... I missed AvD. I had started to avoid them as much as possible the past few days, so here I was. Sat in an alley by myself.

"Rose, what are you doing out here?" Morticia asked as she bounded up to me and joined me on the dumpster.

"I wasn't feeling well so I thought I'd be alone for a minute." I shrugged.

"You can have some of my water if you want?" She asked, and held a bottle out to me.

"Thanks. You don't mind?" I checked as I took it from her.

"Nah, it's fine." She smiled sweetly.

"OK."

I was thirsty. It had been hotter than a volcano in the venue, slight over exaggeration but oh well. I hadn't drank anything in hours. I took the lid off and Morticia's smile changed, she started grinning sadistically. I assumed she was just trying to make me laugh so I'd spit the water out or something idiotic like that. I pressed the rim of the bottle to my lips and drank deeply.

*Lauren's POV*

I hadn't been able to get Chris alone for at least three days. I had come close to it, but each time we were interrupted. But now, I finally had us alone outside and away from the others. Also, I was shocked after hearing what he had to say.

"I know you don't believe me..." Chris sighed, looking at the floor.

He had told me all about Morticia, the past, and what happened now.

"So, you and Morticia had a one night stand over a year ago, she came back and is still somewhat insane, threatened to break you and Rose up until you... 'gave her what she wanted', so you agreed, however she harmed herself and made up that story of you raping and beating her...?" I listed through it all.

"Yes. She's not all sweet and innocent! She's... well not to sound all corny and clichéd, but she's evil." Chris urged. "Everyone always falls for her tricks... please believe me?"

"I don't know... I'm so confused. I think believe you, I mean, lately I've been noticing.. odd things about her. She seems.. darker?" I tried to put it into words.

"She's getting crazier, I honestly do think she is." He sighed.

Chris looked so worn out. Everyone had turned against him, he lost Rose, now he was being tormented by a crazy one night stand.

"She made a deal with Devin, by the way. He didn't say what it was, I'm guessing no one was supposed to know, but I overheard them, you see. And she sounded.. creepy? Yes, creepy."

Everything seemed to click into place. Chris would never hurt someone like this. He wasn't perfect for containing anger, but he wasn't violent! Morticia's strange behavior clearly indicated something was going on in that mind of hers.

"She's crazy, a-and that's not all..." Chris swallowed hard.

"What else?" I asked.

"..Can I trust you?"

"Yes."

He looked at me for a moment, thinking, calculating, deciding whether he could. Soon, he sighed and let me in.
