Sorry for the cliffie and long wait.

Well no not really HAHAHA

But seriously, I love you guys.

ANNABETH

I was sitting in 8th period with Percy. This class was ancient civilizations, and we learning about the Greek gods and goddesses. I could tell Percy was struggling not to talk about the gods in present tense. Ms. Kerr, our teacher, knew that there wasn't a Greek "mythology" question that could stump me. She stood up at the front of the room.

"Okay class, today we are going to see what you know about Greek mythology. Annabeth Chase will you quiz please? How about... Hmmm.. Mr Jackson!"

After 5 minutes of Percy and I rapid firing questions at each other, no one had messed up. We had all split up into groups and continued quizzing each other. Then Ms. Kerr's phone rang. Ms Kerr is slightly old & deaf and she doesn't realize the entire class hears the whole phone conversation every time.

"I need Annabeth Chase to the office, there has been a family emergency."

I immediately panicked. I gathered up my stuff, tucked in my chair and left. I looked casual, but inside I was freaking out. As I headed to the office as fast as I could without getting busted my mind was racing.

I will admit, when I heard "family" I immediately thought "camp." Was Malcolm in trouble? He was my stepbrother and second in command, so he was in charge while I was gone. What if camp was under attack again? What about Nico and Thalia? They have been traveling the country to much lately. What if there is another monster like Thorn that's on the loose? I was pretty much hyperventilating from worry at this point.

When I got to the office and saw my mom (yes Athena) I started worrying even more. How bad could this be? My mom greeted me with a cool and appraising stare.

"Annabeth. We need to talk."

I followed her out of the school, still worrying my head off. We turned a corner, while heading away from school. Then with a *pop* and a flash of light the scene changed. We were sitting in a small and shady park. The park was familiar, because it was one of the many parks on Olympus I had designed.

"So mom, what's the family emergency?" I asked trying to keep the anger-and fear- out of my voice.

"I need to talk to you Annabeth, sit down." My mom said patting the bench.

I sat beside her as she continued. "It's about the sea spawn."

I sighed. My mom still couldn't accept that Percy and I were dating. Don't make her mad, Just don't make her mad I kept repeating in my head. "You mean Percy?" I asked, trying not to scream at her.

"Yes him." She said disdainfully.

"What about my boyfriend Mom?" I asked adding emphasis on boyfriend to get under her skin.

My mom seemed to shudder thinking about me and Percy. "Really Annabeth? My own daughter? It's bad enough that hashtag Percabeth is trending on twitter, but do I have to hear you say it too?"

I just looked at her in confusion. "First of all, what's a hashtag? Second of all, what's twitter? And third of all, what the hades is a Percabeth, and how is it related to me?"

My mom just sighed and muttered under her breath, wondering about how I'd survived at high school. After a minute, she continued her rant. "The point is, I know you can do better then him, and I don't think you realize how many other fish there are in the sea. Or better yet, owls in the sky.

"Look mom. Please just stop messing with my love life. Honestly,you're as bad as Aphrodite. Now just leave me and Percy the Hades alone."

Then I stormed off. Maybe this rush I'm feeling is why Percy is always defying the gods. What a nice end to my day. Everyone loves hearing about how much their mom hates their boyfriend.

The next chapters dedication will go to whoever answers the question correctly first. What will Piper not eat? Also, for bonus points, who caught my reference to the lightning thief?
