That evening after both households had eaten dinner, the two kids were in their rooms. Erick sat down at his desk and looked out the window at Lenora's window. He could see her sitting at her desk writing in her journal again. She was writing like a mad woman, he could also see her hand held gaming device open next to her journal and pulled his out. On a whim he turned it on and opened up the chat. He clicked into a room and started to draw while he waited to see if she would notice him in a room. No one else near by used the little rooms so there was no one else logged in. She glanced over at her device and clicked in to his chat room.

He drew out a little stick figure waving at her with a speach bubble that said Hi. He saw her giggle. She replyed with her own drawing.

"I thought you were going to bed?"

"I am in just a minute, I just needed to write something else down in my journal. Isn't that what it is for?"

"Yes it is, good girl."

"Pretend that I am wagging at you like a dog."

Lenora heard his laughter from her room. She smiled.

"That is an amazing image in my head now. Thank you."

"My pleasure. I could hear you laughing from here."

"I am not surpized. You know how loud my laugh gets."

"True. I have finished what I was writing, so I am going to head off to bed okay?"

"Yuppers. Sleep well Le-Le. I will see you in the morning."

"Yup. Night Erick."

They both shut off their hand held game devices. Erick put his feet on his desk while Lenora shut her window and blinds before she got changed for bed. He watched out his window at the sky and saw her light turn out.

He stood up and dropped his blinds before pulling his shirt over his head. He threw it in the corner and undid is belt. He popped the button and pulled the zipper down on his jeans. He kicked them off over towards his shirt. He flopped down on his bed in his boxers. He reached on arm up and flicked his light off before he passed out.

The next morning Lenora peaked out her window. The ground was covered in slush from the half snow half rain that fell all night long. She changed into a pair of sweats and a long sleaved tee shirt. She was pulling on her sneakers when the phone rang. She heard her mom pick up and greet Erick. Lenora walked out with her backpack over one shoulder as she hung up the phone.

"His mom driving us?"

Her mom nodded. "Yup. I will pick you and Erick from school, drop him off and then we will head to the town over and go the mall, that mall is better for what we are looking for anyway."

Lenora nodded as she grabbed her breakfast and headed out the door. "We will be waiting in the same spot. Love you and see you after school!"

Her mom waved and wandered off towards her bedroom to get dressed.

Lenora stepped into Erick's moms car as he leaned over and opened the door for her. She buckled her seatbelt and opened her bag of toaster pasteries. She held one out to Erick who shook his head and held up his own bag. They munched as his mom drove them.

"So Lenora, Erick tells me that your mom is taking you shoping today. That sounds like fun! I wish Erick would go shopping with me." She said winking at Erick in the mirror.

Lenora giggled and patted his knee. "Yup, I need some winter clothes, all of my old ones are falling apart."

His mom noded. "This is a good time to go get some. Before the next wave of storms hit."
