Sebastian carelessly drummed his fingers against his beaten up desk. The fluorescent lighting in the classroom reflected off his jet black hair. He was dreading detention after school and considered numerous times whether to attend. Sebastian was even more ticked off by the fact Lucy hadn't turned up in any of their classes. He'd seen her in the morning and she didn't spare him a glance.

Is she avoiding me? He thought to himself angrily.

The clock gradually ticked by towards the end of his final class as the blue-eyed angel pondered over yesterday's events. At the sound of the final bell, Sebastian walked over to his locker to get his homework for the day. After seeing that she wasn't there, he trudged over to the detention room.

"Mr. Chase," Coach Randal greeted in his Athletic gear. Sebastian took a glance at the room and noticed he wasn't the only one serving. Five other students were seated and clearly irritated. The coach abruptly blew his yellow whistle as if it was still gym class, getting Sebastian's attention.

"Back of the room Mr.Chase." He grunted.

Sebastian took a seat and plopped his head on the desk. He was about to take a small nap, when he heard a familiar voice.

"Um excuse me, is this detention?" Lucy asked politely.

"Yes, but why are you here Ms.Petersen?" Coach Randal asked.

She handed him her detention slip and he read it. After reading it over, he shook his head and told her to take a seat. Sebastian sat in awe. Not just because this is the first time today that hes seen her, but the fact that she was also attending detention!

The small girl skipped her way towards Sebastian and plopped her books down on the desk next to him. She smiled cutely at him, in return he frowned and looked away.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here for detention. Why else?" she answered, opening her book and flipping the pages.

"Why are you in detention?" Sebastian grumbled.

"Why not?" She shot back, her green eyes scanning the pages of her book.

"I just think its odd that you would be here." he sighed looking at the clock. An hour to go, damn! he thought to himself.

"I'll tell you something odd. " Lucy said, slamming her textbook closed. The loud sound filled the quiet room, gaining Coach Randal's attention.

"I find it odd that on the first day of school, the new kid starts a fight with another classmate to defend someone he doesn't even like."

Sebastian looked at her and casually ran his fingers through his hair. "He asked for it."

"No body asks for a broken nose. Honestly are you really that violent?" Sebastian couldn't contain his laughter at this. You have no idea.

'"Why are you laughing? I'm serious!" Lucy stated, looking at him incredulously. She pouted and folded her arms. Sebastian cleared his throat and tried to get over how cute Lucy looked when she was annoyed.

"I just didn't like what he had to say. If you heard him you would-"

"I heard everything." She interrupted.

Sebastian paused and locked eyes with the small brunette sitting next to him. Her green eyes looked into his piercing ice blue ones. He found himself lost in those deep verdant green orbs. He looked away, instead taking interest on a spot on his desk.

"Then you should understand." He muttered beneath his breath, too low for her to hear.

"Mr.Chase this is detention, get something out!" Coach Randal growled walking by. Lucy let out a small giggle and took out a notebook and pen.
