A flash, fire, earth, water, pain. Its everywhere. The wind, its hitting my body so hard, its numbing. A flash again. Fire, earth, water.
"I told you," A man said "When will you listen?" he asks.
"Who?"
I'm falling trying to ask- to figure out who it is. My eyes are closed, I can't open them, I can only feel. The pain it returns. Electricity courses through my body. It stings. Theres another flash, earth water. The electricity is flowing through my wings. For some reason I can't fly. Lightning is strinking down. Rain is hitting me from all sides. I'm still falling through the sky. Its never ending.
"Sebastian..." I hear a female voice call me. It sounds as if shes far away. I twist and turn as I'm falling.
"Bastian!" Shes screaming, her voice slowly dying, thunder fills my ears. I feel another surge of pain. Electricity pouring through my wings and body. Another flash. I hear loud cracks like rocks splitting. Fire, its burning me, consuming me. Suddenly all I hear is a loud scream. The scream is so loud and high pitched. My ears are bleeding.
The screaming continues as I fall. I'm succumbing to the pain. My eyes open for my final moments and I see the world burning and crumbling.
'Its the end.' I thought.
"Sebastian." An evil, monstrous voice calls me as I fall into the earth.
'The end.'
"Kid, kid!" Michael yells, shaking Sebastian's shoulders, "Wake up Sebastian!" he said as loud as he could.
Sebastian awoke yelling, sweat sticking to his skin. His wings quickly unfurled behind him, its tips tinted silver. Michael grabbed his arms and saw a glimpse of his markings. The mark that show you are one of the cursed.
These markings are only given to a select few of the Angels. Those selected of course bear an important job. The marking binds them to their destiny. If one should fail, he or she would be damned to walk the world alone forever in painful agony. With the marking comes a power to help complete the job given. Sebastian bears two markings on the underside of his forearms. So far his power hasn't revealed itself to him.
Sebastian caught his breathe as Michael fetched him a glass of water. he slowly sat up, his long legs quickly hitting the hardwood floor. Michael was quickly at his side, giving him the glass.
"What was it Sebastian?" he asked, his eyes full with wonder.
"I don't remember much." Sebastian replied, putting the glass on the nightstand, ignoring it.
"Nothing at all?" Michael questioned.
Sebastian got up and looked through the nearby window that showed some busy streets.
"Mike I just want to get the job over with already, okay?"
"Alright, I'm just looking out for you." Michael said.
Sebastian turned and looked at his friend. Michael didn't have to be here, he completed his duty a long, long time ago. But he knew Michael would stay by him until his own duty was fulfilled. Sebastian nodded his head and Michael took his leave, closing the door behind him.
Sebastian returned to the window, watching the droplets of rain water flow down the glass. A quick flash of lightning erupted across the dark sky. For a brief moment, his cruealen blue eyes glowed. Loud thunder followed and Sebastian turned to the left and turned the small lamp on.
The lamp illuminated the small room that consisted of a bed, nightstand, dresser and a bulletin board. The faint glow outlined Sebastian's body as he reached towards the map that was tacked on the board. His fingers brushed along the map, state by state, with his eyes closed in concentration. Suddenly his eyes snapped open and he gritted his teeth angrily. He tapped the map with his index finger and quickly thew on jeans and a shirt.
He exited his room and grabbed his bag from the floor. Michael got up from watching t.v. and before he can say anything Sebastian said "We're leaving."
"You sure? We just got here," Michael said turning the t.v. off. "We haven't thoroughly searched yet and-"
"I'm sure. Lets go." Sebastian replied, cutting him off. He opened the door and walked out.
"Alright, alright. Hey! Kid its raining cats and dogs! Don't you think you should put a jacket on?" Michael sighed. "Where are we goin' anyway?"
Sebastian ignored his comments about the weather and trudged on towards their car. His eyes were full of determination. He only bothered to answer Michael's question.
"We're traveling to the sunshine state." He muttered. Michael trailed after him shutting the door.
