It was the 4th of July weekend, and Annie and I were getting the meat for our barbeque. A lot of our friends and our parent's friends were going to be at our house.

"I'm so excited!" Annie squelled.

"I know," I said rolling the basket to the cash register. We put all the meats, chips, dips, and drinks on the conveyer belt.

"I'm so happy we met Craig too."

"I know, you two are so cute together. I'm glad we met him," I said.

"Yeah, my baby."

"And thank God I started my period last night. I don't say it often, but I'm happy I had my period."

"Yeah, I'm not ready to be a god mother," Annie said with a wink. We payed and drove back to the house. When we got there, almost everyone was there already there. We said hey to everyone on our way to the back.

"You go tthe meats, sweetie," my dad asked.

"Yes, daddy," I answered, handing him the bags of meat. He grabbed them and kissed my cheeck.

"Thank you. Oh, and your guy's friends are here, they are up stairs in your room I think," he said. We ran up stairs and saw them talking all over.

"Hey guys," Annie said, walking over to Craig and kissing his lips. She got a round of different ways of saying hey.

I walked over and saw Corey talking to a friend. I froze right there, my face went pale. He looked up and saw me staring. He smiled and got up. "Hey," he said pushing his hair back.

"Hi," I said.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Umm, can we talk in another room?" I asked.

"Sure," he said and we walked to the guest bed room. "What's wrong, Reg?"

"Remember when you told me to tell you if I remembered anything about that, um... night, to tell you?"

"Yeah. Did yo remember anything?"

"Uh, yeah. But it's like really weird."

"Well, are you going to tell me?"

"Uh, well we made out and then went into your room and we did... stuff."

"What do you mean, stuff?"

"I, uh," I said scratching my head, "gave you a blow job."

"Wait, what?"

"I know you heard me, and I'm not saying that again."

"Woah, did I, you know, to you?" he asked, his face turning red.

"Yeah," I said under my breath..

"Did it get any further than that?"

"Uh, no. And no I'm not pregnant."

"Ok, good. Well, when did you find out?"

"Uh, about two weeks ago."

"And you didn't tell me sooner?"

"I wanted to tell you when I knew I wasn't pregnant."

"Oh, ok."

"Well, I guess we should go now. They're probably worried about us."

"Yeah," he said, leaving the room. I followed him out and back into the room. I sat next to Annie and Craig and Corey sat next to Gabby.

After aout an hour of joking around, Jared came in my room and said,"Dinners ready." Everyone walked down stairs and got some food. I made my plate and went outside to get some fresh air. I sat on the porch chairs and took a deep breath in and slowly let it out.

"What are you doing out here?" I jumoed and turned around and saw Jared.

"Oh my gosh, Jared. Don't do that."

"I'm sorry. What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing."

"Really, you think I don't know you like the back of my hand?"

"Fine, but don't get mad."

"Ok, I won't."

"So, you remember that party I went to at Corey's?" He nodded his head. "Well, I kinda got drunk and me and Corey did... stuff. And now, I don't know what to do. I told him, but I just don't want everything to get awkward." I said.

His body got tense and his fists were clenched making his knuckles white. "Well, just act like nothing happened. He won't make it awkward. Just go enjoy the party."

"Okay, I know it wasn't really serious like that, but I don't know. It's been bothering me for the past couple weeks. And he's like one of my best friends." I got up and hugged him. "Thanks for always being there for me."

"That's what big brothers do, right?"

"Yeah, your the best brother a girl could ask for."

"Aw, stop it you, you're making me blush," he said mimiking me.

"Shut up," I said laughing. We went back inside and Annie came up to me.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Nothing. I was just talking to Jared," I replied.

"Have you notices that you've been talking to Jared a lot lately?"

"What? No, we're brother and sister. We talk to about everything sometimes and then other times, we are quiet other times."

"You know I have a brother too right? I know how it works."

"Yeah, but yours is in 7th grade. Mine is a year older than me."

"Well, so. What does that mean?" I asked.

"Well, I think he might have feelings for you."

"Yes, again he is my brother," I said sarcasticly.

"Not that way. I think he might like like you," she said, exxagerating the like like.

"No, no. He's my brother," I said in disbelief.

"Well, he doesn't see yoi as a sister," she said.

"No-"

"Don't just throw the idea out the window. Just think about it," she said and walked away.
