Liam's P.O.V
I don't think I can describe in words how glad I am that she doesn't push me away as much anymore. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to help her, and I knew she needed my help. I in a way wanted to be her superman, but it was difficult because she would just shut me out. When I first saw her, I noticed how empty and broken she was, I don't know why but I had this feeling like I needed to help her, like it was imperative that I needed to be around her.
We decided to walk to Starbucks, and I noticed how different Darcy had been since when I first saw her. She walked with more confidence, and she had a glint of happiness mirroring in her eyes. We talked as we walked, and she began opening up to me.
We finally made it to Starbucks and I had her sit at a table while I grabbed our order. I walked up and pulled out a bill as I scanned the menu. "uhh, can I get two caramel frappacinos, and two blueberry scones, please?" I noticed no reply to my order so I looked at the c ashier.
Her mouth was wide open, and her eyes were the size of golf balls. "Umm, Ma'am?" I asked waving my hand in front of her eyes, my own eyes widened, as I realized she knew who I was.
"I will give you an autograph if you please just keep this a secret" I offered, she composed herself and smiled trying not to...Oh, what's the word, fan-something, fangirling, I think?
Anyways, she handed me a piece of paper and a pen which I gladly signed and handed back to her, I took my order and smiled gratefully as I returned to the table where Darcy was waiting for me.
"Here you are" I smiled placing her drink and food in front of her, "Thanks I'm famished" She replied, I faked hurt, "Then you didn't eat my pancakes?" I gasped, she laughed, and ignored my question, and just began nibbling on her food.
"So tell me, I'm guessing by the amount of paparazzi the other day, I take it your famous?" she asked, I blushed slightly (for a random reason) and nodded, "I'm also guessing you've never heard of one direction?" I asked, she shook her head, "Well" and that's when I began to explain to her all about us. I explained about the video diaries in the x-factor, how we won third place but apparently that wasn't the end, I explained our tour adventures, and the one we are working on now.
"You say you're working on an album? So aren't you suppose to be at work or something?" She asked, "You're not the only who can ditch" I wink, causing her to grin at my remark. "but enough about me, the other day at that store, you played quite amazingly I might add on the guitar, care to enlighten me?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"umm, well about when I first had problems in year 6, I didn't really know what to do with myself. I didn't tell my mum because I didn't want her to worry, and I didn't have friends whom I trusted, so when I found music, I just kind of discovered how deep I connected with it, so my mum bought me my first guitar and I've been playing ever since"
I sat and listened to her story, and although it was vague I felt that she trusted me that much more because of it.
I took my eyes off of her for a couple seconds to view the day outside, and fear took over me as I saw the first 1,000 girls sprint down toward the Starbucks. This Starbucks, uh oh.
"Darcy we need to go" I exclaimed trying to stay calm, she followed my gaze and looked at me worriedly. I carefully took her hand and lead her to the front.
"Excuse me miss, is there another way out?" I asked the girl, she smiled apologetically, and I immediately knew how the fans found us. She pointed to an emergency exit in the back, so I sent her a glare before running to it. I through open the door, and together, Darcy and I sprinted with 1,000s of girls following us.
It took me a couple of seconds to realize that they were leading us the opposite direction to my flat, so I had to think quick on where we were to go.
Harry and Louis'.
I hoped Darcy was truly better, because soon I wasn't going to be the only boy around.
