Chapter 8

Dinah, Ally, Troy and I were currently waiting for Normani and Lauren still. Dinah had dressed herself up in some white shorts, a tank top, and a black bomber jacket to top it off. THEN- Dinah had dressed me up in a crop top, light blue high-waisted jeans, and also topped me off with a bomber jacket- but it was olive green.

Ally brought Troy to our little meet-up and it was great to see him.

"So, did these two want to be fashionably late because let me tell you- ain't nothing fashionable about that." Dinah commented and Ally laughed.

"They'll be here! I guess they're just running late. I legit called them when I was leaving my house and they said they were almost done." Ally shrugged. It was currently 6:15pm and they all had agreed to meet up at around 6.

While everyone was having a ball- my nerves were literally sky-rocketing through the roof. What if I accidentally reveal that I know she's J?

Calm down, Camila. Just be yourself. That's what Dinah said, just be myself. I heard a knock on the door and quickly went over to it to open it.

Lauren was standing there and once she saw me, she had the biggest smile on her face.

Fuck. She looked cute as fuck. Dinah wasn't going to have a problem of me not being touchy and flirty.

It struck me hard- Lauren had all the things I looked in for a girl. Outspoken, dependent, protective, caring, cute- God, I could go on for hours but her looks was just the cherry on top.

"Hi, baby!" Lauren excitedly said, pulling me in for a hug. Well. Most likely, it seems as if she doesn't think I know she's J.

"Hi, Laur." I smiled, reciprocating her hug.

"Ah, you look gorgeous." Lauren said and gave me a kiss on the cheek which made me blush.

"Look who's talking," I retorted and she simply laughed.

"Laurenza!" Dinah exclaimed from behind me then hugged both Lauren and I.

"Hi, Di!" Lauren said in the same tone Dinah had greeted her with.

"Oh shi- my honey is looking good! Move out of the way you two, I need a better look at Normani." Dinah said after she looked up from the hug and spotted Normani.

I chuckled at what Dinah said and watched her run towards Normani, cupped her cheeks and kissed her. God, they were so cute together.

Lauren put an index finger on my cheek and turned my head towards her. "Are you ready, princess?" Lauren asked and I nodded.

"Been ready for like... twenty minutes now." I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, in my defense, we were almost done until Mani spilled some water on her shirt- and she wanted to wear that specific shirt so we had to wait for it to dry." Lauren said, putting her hands up in defense as I chuckled.

"Mhm, okay, Lauren. I have to go get Ally and Troy then lock up." I said slipping out of her grip and walking towards the living room. I felt a hand tug on mine and turned around to see Lauren.

"I'm coming with." She stated and I smiled as she intertwined our hands, walking by my side.

We walked towards the living room and saw Ally and Troy talking at the counter.

"Let's go, guys!" I exclaimed and the two looked up.

"Finally, you're here!" Ally exclaimed looking at Lauren.

"Hey, it's not my fault." Lauren said and put her hands up in defense.

Ally and Troy followed us out of the door. We looked down the hall to see where Normani and Dinah was and saw them in the hallway, making out.
