Chapter 1: Mutual Murder Mayhem! [Daily Life]

I woke up in my dorm room the next morning when the rooms monitor lit up with Monokuma's laughter. "Ahem! It is now 7:00 A.M., and nighttime is officially OVER! Get ready to greet another beeeeeautiful day!" His cheerful voice rang in my head and reminded me that this wasn't a dream. To kill your classmates... Who would do something so cruel..?  I sighed, Then opened my door. I saw Daryl and Majer. "Morning." I said, still groggy. Daryl lit up. "Hey man, we're all supposed to meet in the dining hall, That Tarus dude wanted to have a meeting or something." I walked while Daryl stayed behind along with Majer. I walked in to see Tarus, Pen, Emily, Angel and Syeda were all there to greet me. I sat down as we waited for the rest to arrive. It didn't take too long for everyone to get there, then Tarus stood. "So, I've got two things I'd Like to say. First, I want everyone to meet here in the mornings so we can eat breakfast as a group. Secondly, I think we should explore the campus today. We'll split into groups. Wolfe, Daryl, Blake and Syeda will search the dorms. Emily, Riva, Majer and Megan will search the First floor. The rest will search the basement, due to the huge size."

And so, after we ate, we all split up to search. We obviously all know about the dorm rooms, But there was also a trash room, A laundry room, and stairs down to the basement that had cleaning supplies. Other than that, the place was pretty barren. The hall went in a circle, meeting up at the main hall that separates the dorms from the 1st floor. We went back to the dining hall.

The others returned. The first floor had the Gym, an A/V room, and a faculty room, along with several classrooms, a kitchen and food storage, and a mysterious barred off stairwell. The basement had cleaning supplies, The electric grid mapping and the breakers, along with freezers and a lot of empty dark space.

We then discussed cleaning duty. After all, We'd need someone to clean the halls and walls. For now, we had four people who were selected to decide among themselves. Me, Syeda, Daryl, and Mia. We discussed for a while, but in the end, Syeda said she would do it this week. She looked up. "I'll set my alarm for 5 in the morning, okay? That way I have 2 hours." We all dispersed.

With that, we had the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted. So I used the free time I had and decided to go say hi to Daryl. Daryl and I talked for a bit, and before we knew it, it was 7:00 P.M. He waved and said goodbye, and I walked back into my room to find a surprising present. A note was plastered to my wall. it read; "I have given you all some helpful murder helpers. Toolkits for the guys and sewing kits for the girls! This should put a spin on things! puhuhuhu!" I checked. Sure enough, the toolkit was sitting there on my nightstand. I looked at it and put it safely away in a drawer. Out of sight out of mind..." and then I drifted into a deep sleep.

The announcement woke me up the next morning and I immediately headed to the dining hall. We ate, and then we had more free time. I talked with Daryl a little more and then talked about what the escape plan was with Tarus afterwords... We got nowhere. It was around 9:00 P.M. when suddenly, the monitor lit up with Monokuma's face once more. "Ahem. Please come to the gym in exactly... NOW." The monitor went off and we went to the gym. Monokuma stood atop his podium. "Alrighty guys! I've got a special surprise! BAM!" He pulled a safe out from under the podium. "This safe contains your escape route! If you can get away with murder, I'll give you the code! But, this is only valid for 24 hours! So, Get KILLING!" He disappeared then, and we all went to our rooms for the night. I lay awake for a very long time. I just lay on my bed, worried about a killing happening. It's... not possible... right..? Nobody... Nobody would kill their own classmate... With that, I faded into subconscious refuge.

I don't know what was special about that night, but I was restless. Nightmares flooded over me, and I couldn't sleep that well. That's why, when a loud sound erupted from outside of the doors, I freaked out. I quickly bolted up, throwing on my jacket, and bursting my door open. The white light of the morning hallway blinded me, and when my vision cleared...

I couldn't believe it. I couldn't understand. Why is Syeda... On the floor..? Why is Syeda... Covered in blood? WHY IS SYEDA HAMURIA DEAD RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME?!?!?!?!?!?  I screamed.

A bell rang throughout the school. Monokuma's bright voice echoed in the halls. "A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time passes, a CLASS TRIAL will begin! Investigate as much as possible!!
