Jess' POV
I woke up to a comforting temperature but a non-comforting bed. I attempted to pull up my blanket but my hands found none. My eyes shot open to see me in dark tattered clothing and in a white and grey room. My eyes scanned the empty room that only consisted of the metal bed frame that I was lying on. Seeing a tiny round window by the corner of the room I scrambled off the bed and over to it.
"You've got to be shitting me" I whispered to myself. "Right." I mumbled pacing from one side of the cell to another. "This is obviously a dream." I winced as I pinched myself but still being in the secluded room disproved my theory. "Right right right. This is so messed up" my thoughts were all over the place but one question raced round my head... 'Where was Laura?'The door unlocked loudly causing me to whip my head around to face the door. 3 guards including Shumaway stood before me with the shocking sticks in their hands ready.
"Prisoner 263 face the wall and give us your right hand" guard number 1 got the wristband out of the box, the spikes very clear to see.
"Hell no! That shit looks like it hurts and if it's suppose to measure my vital signals shouldn't it go on my left wrist where my pulse is" I rambled quickly slapping my hand over my mouth.
"How do you know that Miss Kane?" I literally choke on my spit there and then.
"Kane!?!" All guards looked at me confused.
"Jess have you been taking your medicine?" I have medicine?
"Um... I guess not. What did I do to get here?" Guard 2 getting a pot of random pills out of his pocket and handing me the bottle. As I reached to grab it I felt the two spikes through the skin. A yelped out and snatched my wrist back."You killed 5 people Miss Kane and attempted to kill the chancellor" my eyes widened... That's what I said I'd do to Laura last night. That means, Laura's on the ground. Shit.
Shumaway grabbed me in my panic state and pushed me out of my cell where I saw Clarke talking to Abby and getting knocked out my the tranquilizer bullet. I turned my head to see shumaway smirking at his surroundings. I gulped before I bucked up the courage to say what I wanted to.
"I know what you've done"
"Whatever are you talking about Jess?"
"I know you have hired Bellamy Blake to shoot the chancellor so he can be with his sister and my father can rule" his eyes widened for a second showing fear but then returned to their normal smugness.
"How you know that is beyond my knowing, but you'll be on the ground and no one will believe you" he lined me up to get onto the dropship. Placing me next to a passed out Clarke and near Wells who was glaring at me.Many prisoners screamed or cried as the dropship took off also waking Clarke up at the same time somehow alerting Wells that he had to speak.
"Welcome back" Clarke looked at him disgust forming on her face.
"Look-"
"Wells why the hell are you here?" She spat at the dark skinned boy
"When I found out they were sending prisoners to the ground, I got myself arrested... I came for you" I scoffed knowing what he sacrificed to be on the ground with Clarke. The lights flickered and went out and the whole ship shook causing me to cling onto my seat belt for dear life knowing what happens to the boys who get out of their seats.
"What was that?"
"That was the atmosphere" I finally spoke up taking Wells' line. Smirking to myself as he glared at me. Wells was never my favourite character.
"Jessica Kane, long time no see" Clarke grinned, side hugging me as our seatbelts restricted any other movements. Lights turned on and Clarke's grip loosened on my to look at the screen where Jaha was talking.
"Prick" I mumbled getting a elbow to the ribs by the blonde next to me. I blanked out Jaha's speach about being expendable and mount weather and all that crap. Only to laugh along with everyone else when I hear 'your dad's a dick Wells'"Check it out!" Someone yelled out
"Spacewalker stricks again" another shouted as Finn proceeded to show off and do flips on the middle. He makes his way over to us and floats in front of Wells' face.
"Hey check it out. Your dad floated me after all" causing many to laugh except us three, me for a different reason.
"You should strap in before the parachutes deploy" Wells sulked causing me to scoff knowing that the stubborn 'spacewalker' will do the opposite. Others disconnecting their seatbelts and ignoring Clarke's pleads to stay in their seat floated round also.
"Idiots" I mumble. He ignored my comment and turned to Clarke
"You're the traitor they kept on solitary for a year"
"And you're the idiot that wasted a month's worth of oxygen on an illegal spacewalk" Clarke sassed back causing me to grin.
"But it was fun. I'm Finn" Clarke just stared at him, eyes still wide from the unsecured feeling of being on a 100 year old dropship. Another person undid their seat belt but after another warning from Clarke, the parachutes deployed sending all three boys into the walls. Bursting pipes allowing gas to be released from them.
"Finn" Clarke shouted behind her but unable to turn around to see the damage. Sparks flew everywhere and there was no calm faces to be seen, Everyone either panicking, screaming or crying. I heard Wells and Clarke talking about Jake but I was too panicked myself to even care. I already know it wasn't Wells. Lights flashing and the temperature rising from below us enformed me we were nearly there.
