We were already standing for 15 minutes thinking which way we should go. Adrian was all so calm and smug, despite the fact that HE was the one who made this mess. I faced him, waiting for him to say something like "I am very sorry I caused all this and I deserve a punch.". But being such a prick he is, all he did was give me a confused glance.
"I'm waiting..." I crossed my arms.
"What?!" He said sounding annoyed.
"For you're apology."
"It's your brother's fault he made us escape."
"Oh, so you're now blaming it to someone who only wanted us to be safe?!"
"Is there a problem with that?" And that is when I decide to lift my fist to punch him in the nose but I thought there was no point since he would still stay the same old dumb guy who decides without thinking, so I just tried to count to 10 in my brain hoping my temper towards him would lower down. "Okay, here's the deal. Each of us go to different ways and-"
"And what? Either one of us will escape and then lets just see what happens next? No. I won't take that risk. What if you got lost? Or someone catches you?"
"Stop worrying about me Adrian."
"No. We'll just have to go to a random way and write and X on the wall wherever we go to indicate our past whereabouts so we won't get lost. If the path we chose isn't the right one, then we just go back here and go to the other path."
"You would've said that 15 minutes ago!"
"Come on, don't waste time!" He dragged me towards the left path, holding my hand. I shivered, but I didn't seem to feel cold. I can also feel my cheeks blushing, which I really wished he hadn't noticed. I let go of his hand, trying to ignore him. Adrian looked at me and grinned.
"So, your favorite band is The Script huh?"
"Hmmm..."
"What's your favorite song from them?"
"I don't know..."
'' What's you're favorite movie?"
'I don't know." I am so good at ignoring!
"Wait are you ignoring me?!"
I fake gasped and said "Shocker!" sarcastically.
Then we saw a bright white light. Adrian and I turned on our Invisibilators so just in case I was the lair, we wouldn't be seen. We walked forward, and found out it really was the lair. Just like the cells we stayed in, the walls were plain white, but the room was filled with tables and laptops on them. All of the people in the room wore masks except Mr. Y. There was a big red table and chair in front where Mr. Y sit. A tall guy with black hair was standing in front of Mr. Y.
"Sir, I've finished my task." His voice was deep, and it was very familiar.
''Good, now get out of my sight." Mr. Y said.
I gave Adrian a sign that meant we should really go now,
We both ran, and I realized Adrian was holding my hand again. All this made me nervous, since my stomack did a gigantic earthquake ( Or shall I say belly-quake? ) especially when we locked eyes after he held my hand. I tried to get my hands off his, but it was too tight. I was about to ask him why he does it so often, but I decided to tell him when we get out of the tunnel.
When finally in the second tunnel, he let go of my hand. I felt a little disapointment but I don't see the reason why. Awhile ago, I wanted him to gett off me and now... Argh I hate my life!
