Chapter 14: Fall

Riley McDonough's POV

-1 month later-

So after the tour we headed home. Mom and Mommy Jess of course went frantic when they saw the bruises in me and McCallaway so we both made up a lie saying McCallaway was driving and I was in the car and we had a car accident we told them that the car we hit did not press charges they seem to bought it but they didn't believe we were fine, Connor kept on apologizing to McCallaway coz he thinks its his fault well it actually is but McCallaway still forgave him. After a week we were good as new, no more signs of pain except for the inside. I know Riles is going through a lot right now and I wanna be the guy that helps her get through it all and I will be that guy.

"Hey McCallaway! let's have some fun! Come with me to that new amusement park downtown!" I shouted from her street to her window

"I'm not 5yrs old.." She replied

"C'mon! don't be such a buzz kill! I heard they had killer rides! And ticket's on me and the food's on me! what more can you ask for!?" I said smiling

"alright fine! You know I can't resist free food" She said

"YES!" I shouted

"wait.. is it only the two of us going?" She asked

"uhh.. yes?" I said nervously cause I didn't invite my brothers and I want the two of us to be alone

"is this a date?" She asked

"whatever you wanna call it" I said

"uhh.. okay I'll be down in 5" She said

"alright.." I said and waited

She wore her jeans with her old red chucks and her usual spongebob shirt and a snapback her hair braided to the side..

She's back..

And in that moment I realized that I actually missed the old McCallaway. She looks more beautiful in jeans than in a dress. Now thats the Riley McCallaway I fell in love with..

"dude is you okay?" she asked snapping her fingers in front of me

"never better, let's go!" I said and smiled

I borrowed my Dad's car and we headed to the amusement park

"Let's go for the roller coaster!" I said excitedly

"You've known me for at least 15 years Ri. I am not keen on heights" She said

"Me too but C'mon it won't hurt! I'll be right beside you!" I said

"No." She stated

"I'll buy you starbucks for the rest of your existance" I offered

"Since my contract with Toby is expired, I have no choice but to do it for the starbucks" She sigh

"Sweet! Let's go!" I said

We lined up and I can see McCallaway's face turning pale and her face and palm is sweating..

"Are you really scared?" I asked

"is it that obvious?" She asked

"well other than being pale and sweating like crazy, its not really that obvious" I said note the sarcasm

She retorted

"why are you so scared of heights anyway?" I asked

"I'm not scared of heights, I'm scared of falling.." She answered

Falling... I think this has double meanings

"Why would you be scared of falling if you don't know that someone somewhere out there would catch you?" I said
