A Travel to Different Worlds (a wings of fire fanfiction)

The long race

"On your mark" said Splendor

"Get set" said Razorflight

"Go" they both said and they speeded off toward the Seawing kingdom

Splendor got a good jump and took an early lead, but Razorflight was very close bekind maybe a few feet. The two friends like to race alot and they are both fast. As they race through the narrow trees, Razorflight sees a scavenger, she ignored it even though she was hungry. They have raced this route before, so they no they can't go right to the Diamond Spray Delta, they have too cut down towards the Rainwing Kingdom. It could take them hours to just get there. Razorflight takes the lead right near the first Scavenger den, Splendor shakes it off and tries to push on. From where they started (the skywing kingdom) to the finish line (on the beach at the seawing kingdom) was almost 300 miles. They were fast, they fought in the air, a little pushing, and clawing, Splendor got clawed right across the neck, but she was fine. They had just made it too the Rainwing Kingdom.

"There it is" said Splendor "our first checkpoint"

"Stop talking and race" said Razorflight he was determined too win Splendor didn't know but her and Sahara have already been dating for months and hadn't told anyone. If she had too ask him out it would blow the cover.

     Splendor first meet Hydro when they first raced to the Seawing kingdom. Over the years the queens got along and no one fought one another. No rivalries at all, the nightwings reavealed a lot to the world, but not everything. The rest had to respect that, the world wasn't ready for what was to come. Hydro was on the beach lonely he didn't have friends he was discluded from there swimming races and other activities so he constantly sat on the beach. Splendor noticed him and talked with him. Eventually she started liking Hydro, a lot, but was too afraid to say anything.

     When they came to the Rainwing Kingdom they saw the queen teaching her young. Just recently she had baby dragons to care for. The dragonfruit from the Rainwing Kingdom was the very best, so they were feeded well. Splendor and Razorflight saw one of there best friends, Iguana.

"Hey, Razorflight and Splendor, what are you doing?" said Iguana from the top of the trees

"Racing" said Splendor

"To where?" asked Iguana

"Too the Seawing kingdom, so Splendor can see her boyfriend" said Razorflight

"I'll meet you there" Iguana said

"Okay" said Razorflight it was really hard for him to talk and fly really fast at the same time so Splendor cought up just a little

They were close, they only neaded to race around the bay to the right beach. Once before Razorflight waited for Splendor for hours on the wrong beach. The two dragons stared each other down going into the last 20 miles, it wasn't far away, just 20 miles of beach untill they reach the finish line that was a rope laid out on the beach. They approached the first beach, and Razorflight sped up, so did Splendor. Only a single mile now, it was dark but the white rope was illuminated from the stars that decided to show up. Both dragons lowered to just a meter above the ground, they had to cross on the ground. Iguana was already there about to determine the winner. Splendor fell, and Razorflight landed and ran for the rope, she made it, she won.

"Splendor!!!" yelled Iguana "Are you alright?!"

"Um... Yeah I think" she replied

"Well, you lost, go ask him out now!" said Razorflight

"Fine, just give me five minutes" said Splendor

"Fine" said Razorflight
