Chapter 4- Home And A Certain German Fellow

- NORMAL ALICE POV -

  It feels nice to have gotten back and do what I need to. Without those pesky countries to make me uncomfortable. Finally I can get some paperwork for the new area for the plane that crashed recently to go.

  "I hope you are ok with the meeting with a certain Ludwig or I believe that is how you pronounce his name later. Or are you busy?" My secretary's voice comes from behind me as she walks in and I jump slightly.

  "Oh, it is just you. I will be seeing Mr. Beilschmidt later today. I do not have anything else planned, I just hope to get these papers read over first." I say and mumble the last part under my breath and she looks at me slightly worried.

  "Oh my! Did I scare you?! I must remember to knock next time, my apologies!" She says and I laugh turning to her. Smiling,

  "No worries, everyone gets jump-scared at one point or another. no need to fuss." I say and she sighs in relief. She is a quake one she is. Always worrying and... honestly a bit like that Canada figure.

  "Alright, well he is here a little early, shall I tell him to wait?" My eyes go big and I get up looking at the clock on the wall.

  "Already?! Its only 11:46! He is supposed to be here at 1:00 pm!" I say shocked and she blushes slightly in embarresment.

  "S-So I will just tell him he will need to wait then?" As she talks I hurry to tidy up my office and open up the blinds. 
  I cant believe anyone would be so early! That is over an hour! This man, I presume it is a man, better have a reason for being so early that isn't just he couldn't find anything else to do. I still have papers to read and documents to sign. I guess the sooner I get this over with the sooner I can check on the farmers who are having troubles with their crops. Usually I don't use magic when it comes to things like that but I have no choice if I don't want my citizens to starve. See using magic will make the food a lot smaller but it is better than no food at all.

  "No, I will met with him send him in. Just give me a minuet first." I say and she nods walking out of the office as I quickly try to set everything up.
  In my defense I did think he was going to be here in about an house. Not now.

  Finally my office is clean and just on time! Right after I am finished putting the last of my photos away I hear a knock on the door and it opens. I get out of my chair to met Mr. Beilschmidt when you will never believe who I see.

  "G-Germany?! What are you doing in the Bermuda Triangle!!!" I scream at him quietly so that if anyone else is in the building they cannot hear and I push him into my office locking the door behind us.

  "I vanted to make zure you vere ok after the lazt conference." He says and I blush slightly in embarrassment knowing that I happened to pass you just as I was leaving the last conference I am ever going to.

  "Yes well I am fine, you better leave or else I will have to send you to the brain washing chamber. Now I have a meeting with a certain Mr. Beilschmidt." I say to him coldly and he laughs slightly as I walk to the door motioning for him to leave.

  "Zat vould be me." I am stuck in shock as I review the words he just said.

  "Yeah right, like you would Ludwig Beilschmidt. I don't believe you." I cross my arms and he rolls his eyes.

  "Vell I am. And I vould like to talk to you." Germany says and I realize he is not lying. 
  Wait! That means not only did Germany get past my boarders, he has a conference. With me. Great, how did he even manage to get past the barrier! Wait! Is my barrier down? No! It cant be! I just checked it. Didn't I? No, that was yesterday! Oh no! My barriers!

  "How did you get in!?" I scream and he looks at me weirdly.

  "England left me a book of zpells and I put down the barrier for a zecond." he says so at ease and I WANT TO MURDER HIM!  How could he be so at ease knowing that all of my citizens existants are at bay!

  "WHY WOULD YOU EVER THINK THAT IS A GOOD IDEA!?" I scream again and run my fingers threw my hair and sit down stressed.

  "It vas two seconds. No worries, but even then I need to talk to you and America said you don't come out of your country much." Well at least America got his facts right. I snap my head up to him and glare into his soul. I don't think he understands the situation.

  "How many of your citizens would be used in museums?! Exactly! None! You don't just open the doors to a land of my citizens! That's why I don't like other countries here!" I say and he sighs and looks calmly at me.

  "Vine, I'm sorry. I didn't think too far into it. But I still need to talk to you either way." He says and I take a deep breath and look at him.

  "I swear, if you ever open that barrier again. I will kill you."
  "My country is much bigger than yours."
  "I have your trained soldiers on my turf."
  "Ok, ok. But still. I need to know vhy you hate the meetings."
  "Besides for the fact that you stalked me here and are complete a.holes? Oh and lets not forget the fact that you and your friends are the reasons I end up going into a stress sleep."
  "Zrezz Zleep?"
  "Sure, aka passing out randomly because of a ship or airplane flying into my turf."
  "Vell that isn't alvays becauze of te countries you see at the meetings."
  "I don't care, you all have done it. I used to come out of my shell back when Roman Empire was around. But nope, you had to try and tell me I am the devils portal. I knew you when you were even smaller than sealand, Germany. You were always a hard one to talk to, kind but also a troubled child. Now I remember your name. Little troubled Ludwig."
  "I have grovn. I do not remember you but I remember that nickname."
  "I am so glad. Because I wont forget how fast you were to push me out of the way."

  At this point I was already in tears remembering the memories. I cant believe it. Of course he wouldn't remember me! Its not like I was his babysitter or anything! P-Please I wouldn't expect anyone to remember poor old Bermuda. Back when I used to be a known country. I would at least hope for Italy but nope. They all forgot me! All of them! I closed my doors just before England and France met. Which was kinda heart breaking since I thought they would actually get along. Then I went away and no one would remember me.
  No one remembers Atlantis either but at least he put a spell on everyone making them forget. Except me cause I had already went away and he need a friend too.

  "Are you crying?" Germany says and I get up walking to the door.

  "Get out now or else I am going to put you in a chamber. And you can leave without putting down the barrier. Just watch out for the squids and mermen." I say and he looks at me shocked.

  "Pleaze, I just want to-" I stop him right in his tracks. I don't need to hear anymore of his sad excuse of a reason.

  "Out." And with that he rises from his chair and leaves the room closing the door leaving me to cry in peace.
