Grace doesn't exist in the story

Connie was sitting on the floor in her office she was crying her heart out . Everything was far to much she had just been involved in a rather difficult case involving a mother and daughter. The case had brought back lots of heartbreaking memories from her unhappy childhood . She couldn't control her emotions she was just letting them poor out in great wet puddles.

Jacob walked in after hearing that Connie had been involved in a rather difficult case he wanted to make sure she was okay. He saw her sitting on the floor with tear stains on her face and tears in her eyes . He walked over and sat down next to her and put his arm around her shoulder . He whispered in her ear that everything was going to be okay and she relaxed her muscles and laid her head on his chest.
"Heard you had a challenging case today" said Jacob softly.
Connie chuckled sarcastically "Challenging is only one word to describe it.
"Want to talk about maybe that would help " said Jacob.
"Come to mine tonight I need you there then maybe I will feel up to talking about it " said Connie .
"Okay ".

1 hour later

There had been a lot of traffic so it had taken Jacob a while to drive the pair of them home . They had now arrived . Connie unlocked the door and they went into the kitchen.

"I am going to get out of my work clothes okay" said Connie.
"Yeah that's fine I'll go and stick the telly on watch the football come and join me when you are ready?" Said Jacob
"Okay" smiled Connie.

Jacob headed into Connie's living room it was all neat and tidy quite posh just as he had imaged it would be He turned on the flatscreen television and started to get engrossed in the football.
Meanwhile Connie was upstairs she decided to get into her pjs she didn't just get into any ordinary pjs she slipped into a ruby red nightdress and and a white gown she tied the gown around her waist the nightwear outlined her figure perfectly . She then made her way downstairs to join Jacob.

She went into the living room gave Jacob a weak smile he patted to the seat next to him and she sat down next to him . They sat in silence for a few minutes then Jacob turned off the television. He rubbed Connie's back and asked her what had happened during that tiresome shift.
"Con why did this case get to you so much tell me you don't usually get affected as much by hard cases?" Said Jacob.
Connie blinked rapidly trying to stop herself from crying .
"It brought back memories lots of shitty memories" whispered Connie.
"From when ?" asked a confused Jacob
"My childhood" said Connie .
"Surely you can't of been through the same as that poor girl"said Jacob .
"I have my mum commuted  suicide just like that poor girl" said Connie .
"Connie I am do sorry I had no idea how old where you what it happened " said Jacob .
"13" replied Connie.
"Jesus Connie that must have been so hard for you .
"It was" .
"Do you want to tell me the rest of the story I think there a more to it Connie" said Jacob.
"Umm okay ... Well when I was born my parents were in a bit off a bad financial sitatution . It worried my mother immensely she couldn't work because she had me to look after and my father didn't really care about earning money so he basically spent all of his time in the pub . When he finally came home late morning usually he was drunk and he got angry he hit my mum and when I was 13 she couldn't take it anymore and my dad took his anger out on me instead He hit me daily . I hated it . I wanted to get as far away form him as possible so I worked really hard at school and got good grades so I could get into medical school so I could get far away from my father and all painful memories . Today seeing that poor girl wondering why her mother ended her life it made my me wonder why my mum had to leave me . I miss her so much". Connie burst into tears .

She couldn't keep her emotions in any longer . She had always been able to control them but she couldn't anymore .
"It's alright it'll be okay" said Jacob .
"Why did she end it was it my fault was it to much responsibility and hassle " Connie cried in Jacobs chest.
Jacob spoke "Listen to me Connie it's not your faults she couldn't go on because of your father not you . You did nothing wrong don't blame yourself babe".
