Sofie's POV:

It was a Tuesday and I hated Tuesdays. A day stuck behind the most boring-est day of the week, Monday, and too far away from the weekend. It was a limbo day really, and that's how I felt today, like a void. I was feeling rather stressed today. Tuesday's always had that feeling of stress in work, there was just that specific atmosphere about the place, like we had to rush to get everything done for some reason.

For me though, I was in a rush. Instead of doing what I should've been doing; implementing a new test code for module level through a full system integration, I was writing out a report presentation for my boss, who was too lazy to do it himself. Why? Because one, he'd rather sit and do nothing, and two, he doesn't have a clue about digital engineering and how to apply it to clients needs. While, not to sound big headed, I do.

The rush of making this report for my boss left me no time to eat and it had already gone 1 o'clock. While most my other colleagues were out having lunch with friends or in the canteen, I was sat, typing furiously away at my desk. My stomach growled just as furiously as my typing and I was glad that I'd popped to the coffee shop on the way to work to pick up something to eat, because right now, I needed it.

Pausing from typing and stretching out my fingers, I answered the calls of my hungry stomach, and pulled out the bagel and bottle of pineapple juice from my bag. I began to eat my dinner in the most unladylike way I think I ever had, but I was just so hungry, and the flavours were just exquisite.

Typing and eating probably wasn't the most hygienic thing to do, because all the grease of the food was going onto the keyboard, and that made me uncomfortable.

But before I had any time to spray disinfectant, there was a knock at my office door. Frustrated, I stuffed another piece of bagel into my mouth, throwing my sandwich into my draw and wiping my hands with a wet wipe. "Come in!" I shouted, chewing my food as fast as possible.

The door opened and my boss popped his head around, looking quite flustered. "Sofie, hi," He smiled shortly as a greeting. "Uh, I need the finalised plans of the Smith-Murphy deal by the end of the night because they're coming in for a pitch tomorrow and I don't want to look unprofessional." He stressfully said in a distracted tone, loosening his tie.

I felt like rolling my eyes and sighing, well, I did on the inside, and smiled happily towards him. "Yeah, I'm working on it right now, boss." Pointing to my screen where slide after slide was detailed and ready for the presentation tomorrow.

That seemed enough for my boss, who nodded his head and patted his pockets, bidding his goodbye. Just as he was about to leave the room however, he stopped and swerved around on his heels. "Oh and Sofie, no eating at the table, I've told you about that before." He pointed to the crumbs on my lips and winked.

I giggled falsely. "Sorry."

My boss nodded and reminded me about the report once more before he left. When he did, I shook my head and cursed at him. "Røvhul."

I've never met a man so up his own ass before, so worried about money and nothing else than my boss. Sometimes, I wonder how he got the position he has and then I remembered how good at blagging he was, he was the best. If it was an Olympic sport, he'd win the gold, that's how good at blagging her was. Not just that, he thought he was funny. Funny. Him. Just looking at him, makes me laugh. Working for him wasn't funny though and most the time I wished that it was either me or someone else in his position, Maybe then, I'd enjoy working for the company more than I do right now.

Just as I was reaching for another wet wipe, the phone on my desk started loudly ringing, and I sighed, rolling my eyes. Taking out one of the wipes, I cleaned my hands and the phone as it kept ringing, making sure there was no greasy marks on it, or any germs.
