What is this feeling

I woke up at 11:08, and I thought I was gonna sleep in until 4 pm. I checked my messages and I saw a text from Lauren.
"Hey Camz good morning!"
I smiled at my screen and could feel my stomach doing the flips again. I could feel my hands getting clammy again. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest again. I instantly feel my cheeks turn hot and I knew they were blushing. I set my phone down on my bed after replying. I need a moment to collect myself. All of a sudden I hear my phone ding. I quickly check and I see that it's just my friend Jade.
"hey mila if you aren't doing anything do you wanna hangout with Riley & I today? We might go to the beach then eat somewhere"
Right after I read the message from Jade, Lauren texts back.
"What are you up to today?😌"
She used that emoji. she. oh my god. Am I getting excited over nothing?? What is even going on with me?! But oh my god she just USED THE CALM FLIRTY EMOJI!!
A million thoughts are running through my head at this moment. I am overwhelmed with happiness. I tell Lauren my plans for the day, and then ask about hers. Right after that I text Jade back.
"I would love to!!(-:"
Soon after I send the message Jade texts back.
"Awesome we will pick you up at 1:30"
I get another message from Lauren.
"That sounds like fun. I wish I was there so we could do fun stuff like that together."
Soon another smile appears on my face. I spring out of bed, and run into the bathroom to take a shower. My shower is only about 5 minutes due to me being excited about everything in life at this point. I run back to my room and look for something to wear. I grab my pink swimsuit and a white cover up to go over it. Once I quickly get that on I grab a pair of high waisted Hollister shorts and a tank top to wear after we are done swimming. I don't bother doing my makeup, because I know there's no point if we're swimming. I turn on my speaker and blast my Spotify playlist. I'm dancing around my room smiling and enjoying every second of it. I'm texting Lauren at the same time. Soon my music stops and I'm getting call from Jade.
"hey Camila we're here"
"Okay cool I'll be up right now"
I gather all my stuff and dash up the stairs.
"hey mom! I'm going out with Jade and Riley! I'll text you when I'm about to come home love you!"
I kiss my mom on the cheek before running out the door.
"Be safe Mila!"
I run out to the driveway and see my friends. Jade motions for me to sit in the back.
"hey guys!" I say over enthusiastically
"what's got you all chipper today mila?" says Jade
"What? I'm just happy to be with my friends on such a lovely day like this!" I say with the same energy.
"Alright spill. Who is the guy?" Riley asks optimistically.
"What? There is no guy?" I say clearly knowing that this time it isn't a guy.. but it's a girl.
"You're not fooling us kid." says Jade.
I'm debating if I should tell my friends about Lauren.
"Well." I start off
"WE KNEW IT!" shouts Riley.
In this moment I have no idea what is about to come out of my mouth.
"It isn't a guy.." I say afraid of what their responses will be.
"Stop Mila we know it is serious-" I stop Jade before letting her finish.
"No. Guys. It's a...." I stop and take a deep breath before finishing.
"Girl." I quietly say.
Their facial expressions are surprised. I don't blame them. I've always thought I was straight up until this point.
"Oh my god. Really??!" Jade says while smiling.
"Yea."
"Oh Mila that's great! Who is it?" Riley asks.
"Her name is Lauren. You don't know her. She lives in Seattle. " I say really happy with my friend's  reactions.
"How did you meet then?" Jade asks curiously.
"We met on tumblr."
"Oh that's so cool, is she gonna move down here once y'all graduate so we can meet her ooo??" Jade jokingly says.
"Uh she already graduated." I say quietly
"Wait what??" Riley asks
"Yeah she graduated last year and she's taking a break off of college before she goes to UW in Seattle." I say hoping they won't judge Lauren for this.
"Oh gotcha." Riley says back
I can't tell her tone. I can't tell if she's happy for me or if she's worried.
We pulled up to the beach and we unloaded the car with all of our towels and sunscreens. I don't usually burn I just tan, but Jade and Riley are so white they burn to the point where they look like Patrick Star. We chill out on the beach and they continue to ask me about Lauren and I think they're really starting to like her. "She makes you super happy Mila. I can tell." Jade says with a smile
"What how?" I ask
"I can tell by the way your face lights up and this magical smile appears." she says
"You have never done this with someone before. Sure you dated a few guys in the past like Bryan,Austin, Carter, Juan, and Max. But you know Camila I think Lauren is different. I can tell you really feel something for her." Says Riley with a smile that looks as if she's proud of me.
"I'm really glad you guys like her." I reply softly.
I get a snapchat from Lauren. It's a mirror picture. Her hair is messy and down; her sweatpants are hanging low on her hips; and her black tank top is hanging down as well. Scandalous. I decide to send Lauren a selfie back. Examining the picture I look at my face. I have slight bags but that's okay. My eyebrows could use some work but not too bad. There is noticeable cleavage showing due to my swimsuit. I smirk to myself and send it. Minutes later I get another snapchat from Lauren. I'm smirking as I'm about to open it. It's a close up picture of her collarbone and the caption is "damn camz 👌🏼😍" I smile to myself and we continue texting and sending snaps. My friends and I talk about other things but I somehow keep managing to connect them to Lauren. I can't help the smile on my face even when we aren't talking about her. I love my life so much and I have never been so happy. We go out to eat at a local diner. We order our food and just talk again.
"I can picture Lauren and I coming here." I say with a smile.
"Me too." says Riley.
The entire day is just me being happy and enjoying every second of life. Eventually the daylight started to fade away.
"Mila you wanna get dropped off or come over to Rilez's house for a sleepover."
I check the time on my phone and I see a message from Lauren that she sent 10 minutes ago.
"hey camz FaceTime tonight? 😊"

"I think I'm gonna go home.. I have a lot of homework to do."
